Well, in three months, my education in animation would have over for a year. And yet no job.

Guess who is going back to school for the Spring semester?

Just not sure where or for what? I still want to get into video games, but at the same time, should I just take more animation classes, or give up and learn game design as a whole? Or give up that desire and go to something more practical like business...or law?

Nah, I am too stubborn to give up now.

I have decided that I will be returning to school this winter. I can't find any work in my field, so I think it is about time to give up that pipe dream.

I still want to try the video game route, but I think maybe I should be more on the programmer side. I really don't think I am talented to do that art aspect as it is these days. And I grow more apathetic the more and more I keep hearing "we are sorry, but we don't have a position that fits your requirements" for 1 out of the 7 resumes I sent out. And the way it is, I don't think I can do the whole starving artist thing.

Hopefully this decision won't be a just more to my student loan though. That is the last thing I need.

Fucking heatwave.

I will say this. Thanks to my great friend Wayne, whose girlfriend had to cancel out at the last minute, I got to go see Mindless Self Indulgence for free today. I thourghly enjoyed the show...very entertaining. Sadly, I had to kinda leave earlier than my friend did so I can get on the train...only to recieve that infamous "man you shoulda stayed" call.

Jhonen Vasquez was there...and I missed him.

Well, it was that or stay homeless for the night in Chicago. I think I made the safe choice...specially since I think I saw some members of the Bloods in the area. No actual proof other than the fact there were 6 guys wearing nothing by red.

But fuck was it hot in the theater. And the heat index for Chicago is supposed to be up to 110 by Sunday. I think I will be sitting at home playing video games other than fighting the heat. Seems smarter.

I have worked as a shoe stocker for about two weeks and I can understand why the previous people have gone insane doing them. Seriously, it is a maze in the stock room and when there is no one there to talk to, it gets really quiet. Though it is nice when you do not get much in, since you pretty much can do as much work they are paying you for....nothing. Easy time to kill by playing games on your cell phone or just listening to music. Speaking of which, that is the main bright point about the job. I can listen to music while I do it. And no one says a damn thing.

But I am hoping I will not be there that much longer though. I need real money. Badly.

Won $50 in a Texas Hold Em match with friends on Saturday.

I may have been busy lately, but not for a really good reason. I haven't jumped on WoW for a good gameplay day for about 2 weeks.

I have been playing a bit of Oblivion with a new character now. An assassin. The whole stealth thing makes questing a lot easier (unless I get cornered that is). But Theif and Dark Brotherhood quests are incredibly easy right now.

I am not a really big wrestling fan (used to be back in high school days), but the whole thing has kinda gone "meh" for me for the past two years. However, the whole refomation of ECW is exciting me. Much. Of course, I do think Nacho Libre might be helping out as well. But ECW was always the fun and cool brand I enjoyed when I was in high school...so it will be nice to hear those letters again.

My friend Matt turned 21 yesterday. We took him a casino for his first few minutes of being a full fledge adult. He lost $80. Derek and myself only lost $18 and $30 respectibly.

I have been getting a lot of hours at work now, but it still sucks. The whole hopes of working in the gaming industry are looking more like a pipe dream everyday. Think I shall be going back to school for a simple IT degree. Or maybe find work as a garbage man. I am not kidding on the garbage man thing. Seriously, they earn good money for dealing with other people's shit.

You know, I really hate being the only single guy in a group of friends who are couples. Cause they care more about the couples than the lone single guy. If one couple doesn't want to do something, then the rest don't either. But it sure is ok if I don't want to do something.

I know, I could just get myself a girlfriend, but I find myself really despising the whole "dating" thing the more I try it.

Well, the good news is that my PC is not broken.

The bad news is that the AGP slot is....so I am running a PCI card right now (I didn't know they still made those...hmm...need backup I guess).

But it should still do all the things I can do.
