I am just really posting this here after only getting 7 hits after three weeks. Ah to be so young and naive to thing I could try to get a job in this field.

Granted that I still haven't. I try to think to give up and find another field, but at the same time, I think what I would be like working at a office or construction or military and think to myself "eh, I think I rather try some more."

A friend in Toronto said she has a friend doing contract work up there, but I am not fully sure on her abilities of helping since it took her a week to find the link I sent here in a PM on a website (note, standard phpBB style forum), so that might take a while. Anyhow, I will continue to press for work. And Blizzard and Bioware as my whole "never will happen, but would be really fucking awesome if it did" pipedreams.

You know, I just had a friend and his fiance move out to Seattle - and they both found game work pretty quickly. (They actually moved out there for a job she was offered, and within months - he found work at the same place). So do you think if you changed location you might fare better? (Their consensus, for what it's worth, is that Chicagoland was shitty for game work.)

The expense thing *is* rough. I do know my buddy's girl found the job by applying from the Chicago burbs. So it seems possible to do.

But googling "I'm on a Boat" will be one of your best decisions EVER!

No, we're going to pass the show...although I'm still thinking about the possibility of going to the after-party at Smart Bar. We'll see. Are you going?

And regarding your other comment, I know how terrible it is to have respiratory problems. I used to have asthma when I was kid, and thank God, my last crisis was during that period. Hope you're better by now.
Plus, hope you had fun at "our" birthday then (besides enjoying Kumas' tasty burger!) tongue

What do you mean here?

Those were two films I really enjoyed. Ironically, it seemed that I also felt both were robbed by Sean Penn.

Yes on Rourke, of course, but I don't recall Murray doing a film last year. If he did, shit, I'm mad that I missed out! And fucking Sean Penn...please, don't ever get me started. I hated him before this...

YES! His win for Mystic River was disgusting! I've been crying about it for years, nice to hear it from someone else's lips. Was that Bill's year for LiT? God, I fucking hated that MR shit. I can't BELIEVE he has TWO awards and just like you said, I've given up faith on those things since Mickey's loss.

Don't feel too insane, I can't tell you how many Penn arguments I've had. I mean, I'm sure he's a wonderful human being, but he needs to stop acting.

What do you think of him being drafted for The 3 Stooges? I'm hoping it will tank him as far as dramatic roles go.

Haha! You made me laugh on that note. We're Team Anti-Penn and I love it! Hilarious. Agreed, I totally cannot picture him in this role. Didn't you just love him in I am Sam btw?

Hope you enjoy the mix! I made a Morrissey one and if you click my other lists I made a part 2 of The Smiths. For some reason all of those tracks I chose are ALWAYS left off the supposed "best off" discs.

I'm really happy to have turned you on to something good then! biggrin Of those songs on my list, which do you like best (if you've gotten to listen)? If you buy any of their albums, I would say Meat Is Murder is a nice introduction. I'm always partial to the first album myself, but MiM is a nice smattering to get you going.

Oh are you serious about that dog shit prick? Great. If you get this shirt made, though...I expect one too. I started this hate club, you know. wink

How about a shirt with Mickey Rickey's image (possibly photoshopped to be suplexing Penn or something) with the slogan "Let the Right One Win"?
