I have decided that Grand Theft Auto IV is the ultimate sign of how low we have come as humans.

No, not because of violence. But because I spent a good portion of the time in the game watching TV. I am not kidding. I have been watching TV between the missions. At first, I thought it was just me having a really sad moment in my life, but discovered that Daven had been doing the same damn thing (and also really loves The Mens Room). I wonder how many others have been doing that? I get bored from watching TV, so I put in a video game only to have my virtual self do what I was bored with to begin with. What the hell man? Seriously. How the fuck did that happen? GTA4 must be stopped at all costs for this reason. Because if we don't then what? A game that has game within it that only replicates doing what we are too bored do in the beginning? I tell ya, it is deplorable. And watch, soon Rockstar will allow for newer shows to be put on as downloadable content and then full movies that you hear about in the radio ads. For shame Rockstar. For shame.

I haven't gotten to the internet part, but I am sure it will make me even more sad. I mean, there are supposedly a lot of sites in the game that will feature many bizarre things from dating and blogging. Man, what is up with that?

Be a normal human being and don't buy the game.

This is RuneLateralus being bored and also wants to seriously state: "I want a Republican Space Rangers shirt and that so bad sounding it has to be awesome anime movie from the radio ad to be up as DLC!"

Leroy Chihuahua is not impressed with GTA4. He spent most of the weekend sitting on Bean, making this face while Bean played.

This is what the living room floor has looked like since Thursday night (right click it to view the full scene.. although I did crop out the plates and coffee cups and Monster Coffee Drink cans next to Bean):

I'm 90% sure that our treatment of all of the "side stuff" in GTA IV says a lot about how we interact with those things in real life. I haven't watched TV in the game once, maybe because I haven't watched TV regularly in years. I don't check my email nearly as frequently as I should, either in game or in real life.

I just spend most of my time running around doing the main story missions and...erm... grinding rep with "friends."

By the way, Rickert wasn't kicked as far as I know, Aaron said he logged on and gquit.
