Looking into going back to college again, in another area. This one should be a lot of fun, I hope all works out and then goes well. Cross fingers for me.
An ex-lover/buddy of mine that I keep in general touch with via email has been exchanging notes fairly often with me lately. I'm happy to know that, despite a bit of stress for them right now on a specific subject of family, their life is over-all working out alright currently.
Was looking for someone else and accidentally found my fave cousin on myspace a couple days ago. We talk every few years, as I pass through my hometown area or I find his number again. Hopefully we'll be able to keep better track of one another now...

I arrived early due to over-estimating how long it would take me to get to the location from my house, but it was alright and didn't seem to annoy the host at all. She and I had a little wine and chatted, hanging about waiting for a bottom of hers to arrive. Once he did, we all three leisurely took to setting things up for the night with plenty of breaks in between for jokes and general lazy talking. It was very laid back and fun, in the feel of old friends passing time despite my only having met them each about twice before.
The demo was interesting and entertaining to watch. It was three ties, one a basic 2-column tie that could be picked up immediately from seeing it done once. So I definitely at least learned that! For a lovely karada, breast bondage + my arms in a set of 2-column ties I was a dummy for the 2nd part of the demo. I love having my torso in a karada and was happy to dummy for it, the feel is so relaxing... snug while balanced all over, a lovely hugging that makes one drowsy and feeling like curling up for a nap; but the arm and breast ties were new to me and I wondered how comfortable or not they would be. Turns out, once I was all bound up I was so much more comfortable than before the rope was put on. Everything turned out to have that comfortable and relaxing snugness that doesn't pinch or rub wrong. I enjoyed watching the 3rd demo while still bound and look forward to future tying.
My potential sub didn't arrive until as the demo was starting, so we didn't hook up until the break. The night with him went pretty well. I only had to punish him for a couple minor infractions and I actually did end up playing him for a while, that is rare for me; I'm not much for physical topping normally, at all. He seemed very much in the right spirit of things and we seem to have real potential. It will take more times of testing and getting to know to find out, of course, as these things take time, but his spirit about things came across as matching what I'm looking for and/or can mold in the details. The only glitches *were* details, things that just come down to getting to know each other better and letting the interaction shape naturally so it was a generally good beginning. We're talking more via email...

I won't get to make the next demo and play as it falls on my spouse's birthday, but the month after we have a pony play night that interests me. I don't know if I've any interest in pony play, but as I said before I enjoy learning for its own sake.
I had the fun of showing the 2-column tie I learned to my M the day after the demo. He thought it was comfortable and interesting. We both like rope bondage, for different reasons (he's purely a top/dom so far as we can tell), and he was happy to let me show off what I'd seen the night before.
On other topics, we're getting a good tax return this year. My car is getting a bunch of work with my half of the money. It so very needs it. The car runs well, but the rotors and brake pads need replacing and it's overdue for an oil filter change and some lubing. I figure I'll be a big spender with my half of the money and get everything that it needs/wants done so it runs like a happy little clock. That car has lasted so long and through so much with only the minor basic upkeep needed now and then. It's been a real bonus in its functioning (compared to other vehicles I've owned, prior) and as it's paid off I plan to use it until it falls apart.
I'm a bit rundown today. I accidentally got on a more night-time schedule again and am trying to correct it before it gets out of control. So I slept only a short bit this morning and am dragging through my day, hoping to be tired enough to sleep at a decent hour tonight. It being rainy and gray outside isn't helping me wake up and be perky.

I'm so excited! This weekend our local BDSM group has a demo and play night. I haven't participated in about a year due to illness and other engagements and am now getting back to involving myself in our group. It's going to be a rope demo and buffet/cookout + play party. I love demos of any sort, even if it's an area I'm not big on I enjoy hearing another person's take on it and learning a little something.

Had my at-home Xmas already. Just a week before I am going to my parents' home to spend Xmas with them for the first time in 11 years...
This year I live on the same coast, so I can't really avoid it. Mom is a Christmas nut. It's not a religious thing, it's a "holiday spirit" thing. And to a fairly disturbing level, at that.
She starts decorating the day after Thanksgiving (after a few prep-weeks of removing all the normal decorations from the house. Preparing for Xmas decorating starts after Halloween.). It took her a week to put down the "floor garland" this year.
This is going to be hell. I do Christmas but as a casual, light and fun thing. Lots of pressure this season, on top of normal family stresses, what with going to Mom's.

Like I said, the male and I had our at-home Xmas already and I got great loot. One big present and a series of little things, as is pretty normal for us. I'll start with the little stuff...
I got two new pairs of 00g silicone tunnels, powder blue and grape colored; a blue Lush bath jelly (soap that is the consistency of jello, very fun); a T-shirt that has a picture of the 9-planet solar system model with Pluto saying "weak"; full-body pajamas (complete with button up front and button butt flap); vegan jerky; nail polishes; the book "The China Study"; and other odds and ends stuff like pens, tangerines, bubble bath, etc.
The big item? M bought me a Go-Bidet!!! I'd listed two different types of bidet-mods for my bathroom that I wanted and he got me the better one of the two. It attaches to the toilet and can be rigged for cold water only or for both temps. Right now it's rigged for cold as I need to makes some changes to my bathroom vanity plumbing it turns out before I can hook in the t-connector needed.
And it works Great. I hooked it up and while sitting on the edge of the bathtub fiddled with the controls so I could see any leaks and turned it on all the way at one point... that sucker sprayed water on my ceiling.
When not in use, the bidet arm folds under the rim of the toilet with the use of a little lever on the main fixture that sits to the right of the seat. When you want to use it or move where the water is spraying while in use, you easily push on the little lever and it swivels the arm to where you want it. It has a little toggle-gliding switch thing that allows you to adjust water pressure and temperature (if you have water water hooked up).

TMI female issue ahead for the squeamish: Females, if you've never used a bidet before, be sure to try one at first opportunity. Whether you have or not, I'd suggest getting the GoBidet. Not just for giving your nethers a bath every time you go to the bathroom, it is also excellent to clean up after sex when you have all that excess lube and bodily fluids going on. Using a Keeper, I don't have the period mess anymore but if you use pads still this thing would be Awesome for during-period cleansing and fresh-keeping.

Hi all, I just wanted to put out a reminder that we've a Matrimony Group and I've started a discussion on D/s in a married environment -living the lifestyle with one's spouse(s), growing up in a household that functioned that way, having D/s relationships with those other than one's spouse, etc.

"traditional" male-dominant households (the type where it being D/s is ignored due to it's widely accepted structure), to an opposite and extreme of Goddess-worship female-dominant multiple-male slaves including the husband, and anything in between are welcome to be discussed.
As we've a varied community here, I'd love to see more activity in the Matrimony Group and more of the variety in marriage (not just D/s but all we find works for us, and what doesn't) shared there.
