Damn! We missed the first home bout of the season, which was on January 7. Les Diables Rouges massacred the Hattiesburg, MS Southern Misfits 289-21. They're a pretty good team, too. At least the Southern Misfits have some seriously cool uniforms.

The next home bout is February 18th.

Damn straight! The Spanish Town Parade is also on Saturday, so hopefully there won't be any overlap. I doubt it. The parade is always during the day, and I'd imagine most people going to roller derby would also want to go to Spanish Town. It's a silly parade. Want to go to that, too?

D'oh! I don't know if they changed the date or I wrote it wrong in the first place, but the bout is on Sunday the 19th. Are you still free?

Yeah, I think it would do you some good to get out and watch women on skates knock each other over with their hips. It's a beautiful thing.

I'm not sure. Their website says the bout is at the River Center at five o'clock, but another source says it's at Leo's a bit earlier in the afternoon. I'll verify in the morning and let you know before lunchtime.

The last bout of the last season was held at Leo's Roller Rink. It was an informal affair, mainly for friends and family. They may have tomorrow's bout there. Hmmm. When I was at Ft. Benning the Auburn, AL team held their bouts at a roller rink, so it's not unusual. I'll call Leo's in the morning to be sure.
