Just back in from the beach. Amazing experience, best way to wrap up a summer, in my opinion...
... ok, so, now onto making adjustments for the new living arrangements that will happen later this fall and getting everything in line for starting back up with school. I anticipate this next year to be a huge one with huge milestones reached. That being said, I am sure that you all will be *sad* to know that next Wednesday is my last day on the site. It's time to stop wasting so much time by playing with the deck of cards that is SG and attempt to start making a difference not only in my personal life, but in the real world. I have come to find this place too distracting. I am getting my shit together, going back to school, taking on a different career path than what I had initially attempted to pursue and will *hopefully* squeeze in some travel, as well. We shall see. Anyway, for both those who have loved AND hated me here, we all know in the back of our tiny little brains that this is just a web site, and we are all just really small pepper spots on the salad bowl of humanity. The only way we will change this world is to creep out of our comfy shells of denial and educate ourselves. My hope is that friends and foes that I have encountered from this site alike do nothing less than achieve the greatest things that their lives can bring them. Thanks for the good times, SG, you'll always hold a special place in my heart.

Last night, I was running some errands and this big ol ford 450 went sailing past me. You know how sometimes on the back of big vehicles like that, you might see a sign that says stay back 25 feet in what looks to be caution tape? Well, on this truck there was a big sticker across the back, what one would initially assume read the same way as the cautionary ones. However, in big black bold letters, painted across a bright yellow backgroung read, and I shit you not, this: "HONKIFYOUHATEBUSH.COM". Now, I get that a lot of folks have their panties in a twist over what they continue to deem an unjustifiable war, I mean, really, if someone is whole heartedly against a war, of course they are going to express their rage and it will be in different contexts depending on whom it offends/affects. Anyway, this was just a bit much for me. I mean, really. I live, again, right outside of D.C. It would probably be an act of suicide for me to plaster the back of my little econo-box with a sticker that read something like "HONKIFYOUTHINKOBAMAISATOOL.COM", or even just plainly expressed a certain "hate" for him. I am actually looking forward to getting my McCain sticker on my car here over the weekend. The folks here at work are truly going to shit a brick when they find out that I am a conservative, as not a day goes by that I don't have one of the bleeding hearts in my office bitching and whining to me about our current administration or (and this is my favorite) that white America is not ready for a black president which is the only reason why Obama would not win the election. Give me a break. Anyway, just thought I'd share that little event with you guys. Oh, and thanks Uptight, as you have quelled my anxieties about McCain losing to Obama. I truly believe that the republicans have this one in the bag.

... My great aunt Nettie, one of the raddest little ladies I have EVER had the pleasure of knowing, is not in good shape. She was diagnosed with emphysema about, ohhh, I dunno, 7 years ago, and well, now, she is on her way out. This woman has always been amazingly intriguing, somewhat mysterious, cool as a cucumber while at the same time feisty as a firecracker on the fourth of July. Anyway, they took her off of life support earlier this morning, so, it would not surprise me if her fragile little body gave way for her passage into the next life sometime tonight or tomorrow morning. Here's to you, aunt Nettie - the coolest little woman I have ever known!

I am back, if only just for a little while... what happened yesterday was shitty on so many levels, and we BOTH showed our asses. However, I should not have said what I said about her taking her clothes off. It was stupid, it made no fucking sense - she is an SG for chrissake!?!?! Anyway, whatever. I can't believe I was put on display like that in public, but hey we all need to eat a little humble pie now and then, right?
