Yeah, she can be a bit abrasive sometimes. Normally she is only brutal when debating Israel (which is an understandably important topic to her), but she has left a rather nasty attack on one of my friend's pages here too.

I respect a lot of people with whom I disagree politically. As long as people have roughly similar values, I am willing to debate on how to realize common goals.

Agreed. I am in favor of having a strong work ethic to accompany many other features of working-class life. I also don't think that a public that is apathetic or demoralized economically will function effectively politically. In other words, I agree that people should try to improve their economic lives if they are going to be good citizens in general.

I'm just curious why you have to come across as so angry? I know you don't want to be my friend or whatever (which is totally your choice), but I just thought I'd remind you that I'm not "out to get you" or whatever. I was just curious. I read your comment "tree hugger" = "buy an eco friendly car." What did that even have to do with the conversation at hand?
