1st Neurologist appointment this morning. Nothing too new came of it. My new doctor is taking me off of the Norco and putting me on Elovil. I have more bloodwork due tomorrow to check for West Nile, since I live in an area where they're actively spraying for it, and I have an MRI set for Wednesday to check out my blood vessels, lymph nodes and other things that don't show up on CT's.
But on the plus side, I just found out that the company is giving all non-emergency staff (that's me!) the week of Thanksgiving off. So at least I have that.
In fun news, I took off last Thursday and Friday to unwind and man, did I need that. Thursday, I hit up the 3rd Vinyl Thoughts Art Show, which is a local art movement dedicated to vinyl sculptures and custom figurines. This time around the theme was Drawn Together, so there were tons of pieces from comics and cartoons brought to life in vinyl awesomeness. I'll have to put up some pictures when i get a chance but there were pieces based off of the Ninja Turtles, Where the Wild Things Are, comic books, Adventure Time, and even a couple of paintings. I got a really good shot of a doll painted as Picasso's self portrait.
This Friday, I'll be heading out to the Nasher Sculpture Center for their monthly "Til Midnight" event in which they keep the museum open til midnight and have a concert and a free movie screening. This month, Raising Arizona. Even better, I get to go with the wonderful Bete_Noir. She's such a doll.
