So i picked up the game Rocksmith for my PS3 a couple days ago. This is a music game like rock band and guitar hero, but unlike those two, you use a real guitar. You have a special cable that lets you plug your guitar straight into your console. There is no difficulty setting either. The game actively learns how good you are and adjusts the difficulty as you get better. I swear i've learned more about playing guitar in the five hours of game time that I've logged in the game than in five years of trying to teach myself.

The set list is pretty diverse as well. I've played some Rolling Stones, Black Keys, Soundgarden, STP, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Queens of the Stone Age. If you have a guitar laying around that you never play, pick this game up.

I don't even have the smallest amount of musical talent it takes to play rythum games with plastic guitars, let alone have the hand/brain coordination it takes to play a real instrument.

I tried this game at an aquatintence's house and it they said it was like watching a stroke patient trying to use his fingers for the first time after havings said stroke.

Yeah, that doesnt really matter so much for me, I have zero talents when it comes to teh rythyms.

I have about as much musical talent as I do for math, which is to say, not any at all. Of course the two could be linked.

This actually sounds pretty cool. Unfortunately I had to sell my guitar about a year ago before I even really had a chance to learn anything to help pay some bills at the time.

On another note, I have never even played guitar hero or rock band, haha.
