So, on my old laptop I'm trying to run Debian. Windows shits me. I'm sure I'm breaking all sorts of shit, and quite frankly, I don't care. Learning is learning, right?
Unrelated: I played with a macbook for the first time today (I've quickly checked SG and emails on other peoples, but have never actually spent an hour playing with it) and now, I want a fucking macbook so damn bad. Everything makes sense and all the programs speak to each other!
The installation of Debian on the old laptop has been nothing short of interesting.
So, here I am. Apparently travelling a similar path to yourself. Only, you appear to have more of an understanding than I do. I'm really kinda blind as in the past, I've had someone else look after all my pc stuff.
Official invite to follow if I ever draw it up.
In short: Keep Saturday, 14 June free.
Event: Kye's Quarter-Century Dance and Pancake Funtimes! (Held at ExCom)
When: 11pm Club Tabu, Brunswick Street, Valley followed by Pancakes at the Pancake Manor at 4am.
Theme: Stripey Sock Night.
Hope you're well. I think of you every time I see someone with a Jumbo coffee.
xx
Sure did read it. Only the two most recent ones so far, but I've bookmarked it with every intention to start from the beginning on Saturday at work when things are quiet. I suspect I might get something out of it.
Right now, things are crazy. I can't remember the last time I had a day that I wasn't run off my feet.
Also, thank you re: mountains to molehills with your bare hands. Mean so much that one of my fave people will be there with me.
Invite is also extended to Sarah, of course.
Gah. I have to prepare a presentation now. Blergh! Talk soon. xx
