Argh, I can't get anything done today. I watched two Star Wars movies, some parts of an Al Capone movie, and I spent the whole day trying to get in an artistic mood. No success in that venture as of yet. Thanks for nothing George Lucas.

I look around this site and see a lot of SG's and other members that are pretty much my age, and I find myself asking: "How come I never met anyone like these people before?" I need to get out more.

I went to the SGLA meeting, but nothing was really happening there, so I ended up drawing people in the bar for a few hours. Maybe I'll post that picture later.

Blech

Gold.
I was looking to see what search engine terms were bringing people to my Digital Sketchbook and it turns out, if you type "SG Pistolita" into google, I'm the first return. That's great . skull

Nice, I got more stickers in the mail and some movies to watch.

Okay, new drawing up in the fan art group.
I seem to have injured my wrist somehow.
I suppose 8 years of drumming, a lifetime of drawing, and a million plus hours logged on a PC probably don't help.

Okay, going to bed now. I'll have another drawing done tomorrow (later today?).

Okay, new Q fanart posted.

I went and saw The Simpsons movie tonight. Yeah, I don't really like The Simpsons.

I'm queuing up more fanart to do.

The subjects unpopular, but I don't feel like lying,
When I think of it now I acted like a sinner,
I just washed my hands,
Then I went for my dinner."

Poor old Grandad, I laughed at all his words.

Working on the comic today. I'm listening to a lot of classic rock/British invasion stuff today and I'm feeling fairly productive for once.

I'm getting ready to do another piece of fan art for SG here in the next couple days, as soon as I can decide on a model. It's time to really focus on drawing again.

You'll have to learn, just like me,
And thats the hardest way,
Ooh la la."

Okay, I went running tonight. Total disaster.

Maybe not a total disaster. I got really lost and ended up coming back about 20 minutes late. My left knee started hurting pretty bad too, which is unusual. Maybe it was the asphalt since I'm not used to running on that.

Workout routine is go.

I can't figure out why I'm in a drawing slump lately. Nothing I produce is going anywhere, even though I totally feel like grinding through a project right now. That's frustration. I am feeling pretty isolated in California, even though several of my friends are out here with me. That might be the problem. See also distant girlfriend fights, see also money, see also nobody out here is interested in working on creative projects.

Well, I've been in L.A. now for a little over two weeks, and I still don't really feel like I live here. The whole city is much larger and denser than Denver, but I'm starting to get the hang of fast paced highways and blistering heat (although my friends back home say it's pretty hot there).

I'm going to have to find some coffeehouses and music stores soon because I feel like a creepy recluse, sitting in my room drawing all day, avoiding the sun and such.

I'll go exploring tomorrow.

Okay, time to start using this site a little more actively:

So I went and saw Sunshine tonight at The Landmark. It's the new Danny Boyle film and it is testament to his awesomeness as a director. It sort of reminded me of Solaris plus Event Horizon, but I appreciated it's uniqueness as well. A great movie, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes scifi thriller/horror.
