FINALLY submitted my set today! Wicked exciting. If I could frickin figure out how to post pictures from this new computer, I would, but apparently I'm technologically retarded.

I'm pretty much over hearing about how excited I must be about moving. Excitement hasn't actually had room to bloom with my stress taking over. 24 days to go, and I haven't filled out my applications, or packed more than two boxes. I put the Pro in procrastination. Go me.

I'll tell you what I am excited about. My set. And being finished with waiting tables for a while. I think it would be the greatest job in the world if I worked only with people that had the same work ethic as I do or in a restaurant with only enough tables for one waitress. Any of those floating around Germany? blush

I'm slowly working my way through a bottle of Chilean Cabernet. Pretty tasty stuff.

It occurred to me, not very long ago, that in about a month I will be picking up and moving myself well across the Atlantic Ocean. I'm excited and not entirely comfortable with the idea all at the same time. I've barely begun packing. On top of which, everything needs to be shipped within two weeks in order for me to get it by the time I get there.... I guess one could say, I'm stressed.

Aaaand... I still haven't uploaded my set. I was really hoping to have it at least settled by the time I left, but I'm not sure that's happening. I want to show teasers, whatnots, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to/should. What's the point of showing one picture if I can't show them all... and the longer I wait... The more negative I get about it. Yuck. (If anyone has an idea... pass it on)

On the bright side, I saw TOOL on Sunday. It was an amazing show. It would have been far better if I were in the pit, but simply being there, and having live music reach my eardrums made me ecstaticly happy. That, and I was able to spend all day with the boy, which doesn't happen very often.

I have a mac. I'm pretty new to the whole system, and cannot for the life of me figure out how to resize my pictures so i can post them... does anyone have any insight?

Glorious rainy days. I've come to love them, because it appears they're here to stay. Nothing left but to revel in them.
Only 11 more days till I see Tool live! I heard a rumor that they're coming out with a new album, which would be just superb in my book. And I'm down to less than two months now before I leave... Time is quite literally flying by. Today I have the fun task of cleaning out my storage unit. I have to unpack and repack boxes I haven't looked at in over ten years... This should be messy/fun/a serious trip down memory lane.
Work has been getting on my nerves lately, but I think it's mostly because I'm getting anxious over leaving. I wait tables at a fairly nice restaurant, and i love it. I've been training new employees, but I've seem to have lost most of my drive in doing so. It's so frustrating to go over a ton of material and have people ignore it two weeks later. Up until last night, I was getting worked up over things. I had a wonderful conversation with my Dad and then with my boss, and realized I'm allowed to be an asshole if I feel like the situation warrants it. And now I have the added incentive of not giving a shit. Ha.
It's a wonderful life. ARRR!!!

I shot a set on Thursday! It was raining pretty steadily through most of it, but cleared up near the end. The photos I've seen turned out really well. I can't wait to get them all and start uploading....! Hopefully have something up by next week. smile

THREE days till I try again and shoot another set. I'm excited, but also a little nervous. Buuuut.... nervous is good, nervous shows you care. As long as it doesn't translate into the pictures. I'll post them as soon as I can. Everyone cross yours fingers for sunshine and/or rain.

The official countdown for Tool is at 34 days. Dublin countdown is at 80 days. It seems so far away. I just have to keep telling myself "soon enough, soon enough ". 4 days after being in Dublin, I'll officially be living in Germany. I just don't know how to feel about this. Anxious comes to mind. Ecstatic as well. I feel rushed more than anything. There are sooo many people I want to see and spend time with before I go, but there simply isn't enough time, and besides that, there definitely isn't enough money. My friends are so scattered. The thing that almost breaks my heart is that a very good friend of mine has a little girl that I still haven't met, and that it will now be years before I ever get to see her.

On the bright side, I'll be with my sister, which I am beyond words excited for. And my brother-in-law and their baby. I'll get to experience a completely different culture, get lost in new places, make new friends, learn new languages, travel aaaallll over the place.... the list goes on and on.

Goodness I am a lucky girl these days.

Only 40 days till I get to go see Tool live... It'll be the first time, and I'm not sure if I'm more excited about that or about moving to Germany, or about the possibility of shooting a set soon. All three are pretty fantastic things to get excited about.

I'll be spending my birthday in Dublin, also a first. I have lists of things I want to see and do. Unfortunately Guinness's 250th celebration is happening 4 days after I leave. Hopefully they'll start pregaming while I'm there. Something tells me that's extremely possible.

Time for my daily German lesson. I can almost say 5 whole sentences! Haha.

It seems that I'm a day late and a dollar short an awful lot lately.

It been more than a year since I posted, so there's a bit to catch up on. I'm currently living in NH. I'm in a small town, which is not necessarily my favorite place to be. However, it means I have been catching up on my reading, and hopefully I'll have enough surplus dough for a new tattoo. I want a sleeve of The Little Prince, and a Warning.

I get to go to Germany in October to visit my sister and watch her have a baby. I'm more than a little nervous about that part... It'll be very nice to meet a little niece or nephew though, and I get to spend a couple days in Dublin on my way home. Not to mention being able to see my sister!

I'm still not in school, but I have decided on a major. I'm terrified of repeating mistakes, therefore I shall study history. Well, that among other reasons. I'd like to teach highschool for a bit. We'll see.

Alright, so I'm horrible at posting.

Something got me thinking the other day. A girl I work with was commenting on a fight she had with her boyfriend. I asked if everything was alright, and she turned to me and said, "Oh hunny, I don't let boys get me down. They're not worth it." Noww, this is not something I didn't already know. However, it is something i had forgotten.

Lately I've been wicked bummed about my whole relationship situation, yada yada blah blah blah. But see, I'm pretty sure my main issue, is that I consider it a relationship in the first place. So fuck it. :-D

In other news, business is starting to pick up in the restaurant industry. Hooray for me! That means I will regularly be able to pay my rent, and that soooon I will be able to start saving money for my.... da da da... move to LA. Yup, It's really gonna happen. Can't wait... wish it were July tomorrow.

In a recent trip to the beach I found the absolute perfect outdoor place to shoot a set. For real this time. There's this fantastic stone structure that used to be a house or something, and it's easy to get to, protected from wind, and really really cool. So now all I need is a photographer.

We'll see.
