Some of my friends have started up a Web comic. Check it out now or else.

Next week isn't going to be pretty. I'm working six days in a row, including 5 closes in a row. Closes suck, but they give you hours. And you get really wet. It sucks, but I'll have a huge paycheck for that week. Too bad Ruby Tuesday corporate is so fucking anal about overtime or maybe I'd be able to get around 45 hours that week. I'd probably be pissed if I hadn't dropped a couple of my classes (Assembly Language Programming and Discrete Structures), because I'd be too tired to both go to class and to actually study/do the homework for them. Such is life, however.

The Nintendo DS is coming out a week from tomorrow. It's gonna be, like, rad, man.

I just got out of court in Paragould a few hours ago, and the case the prosecutor dismissed, and the fine will be refunded shortly. I'm extremely happy. What exactly happened was my car got stuck on the bank side of railroad tracks, and the police had to stop the trains while they called a tow truck to pull me out. Evidently the railroad people get really pissed at this, and made an officer there write me a ticket even though he wasn't going to originally. frown But it seems as though I'll get all $360 of that back (what a ridiculous amount to pay anyway) tomorrow if I choose to drive back there and pick the check up then.

I'm just glad the wait not knowing what was going to happen is over, but it seems as though everything turned out for the best. Whew.

I just got home from work about an hour ago, and I'm beyond tired. I'm trying to decide whether I want to just go to sleep or stay up and watch all the horrible, horrible horror movies that have been on TV this year. God, they all suck, especially AMC's line-up. What the hell happened to that station, huh? They used to (meaning two plus years ago) have such a classic line-up with awesome movies and few commercials (and no commercials even further back), but they've since turned into trash. Case in point was a few days ago when the Omen trilogy was playing. The first one started at around 7:00 p.m. and the others played after it. After all three were finished, they decided to start them all over again! They usually do that as an encore, but it's three movies, around seven to eight hours! I also looked a bit later in the guide listings and saw them being played again later that day. In fact, the majority of AMC's "Monster Fest" has been almost virtually comprised of the Amityville, Halloween, Godzilla, and Omen series. There are such other, better horror movies out there they could play, and it is appalling that they aren't. I assume it is because they don't have the liscenses for all of them, but does that mean we should sit through the same four movies for however long "Monster Fest" lasts? I always enjoyed AMC's older movies, but it has been, like all TV, disgusting and gross with age. Just look at Nick-At-Nite.

I'll be extremely thankful when Cox puts Turner Classic Movies on our cable listing later this year/early next year. Then maybe I'll have a reason to watch TV with any ounce of frequency again.

I finally got my septum pierced today. It hurt a little bit, but it wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be: agonizing pain. A friend of mine, Max, said she (the piercer) was very decent at her job, and the actual piercing was about as pleasant an experience as it could be. My questions were answered well, which helped somewhat that I was being done by someone who knew what she was doing. I was actually planning on going somewhere else, but I was told right at the last minute that one of Max's friends went to the place in question and the piercer was stoned while doing the piercing. A stoned piercer piercing a septum certainly isn't a happy thought.

Afterwards we all went to see The Grudge. It wasn't a bad movie, I s'pose, but it was quite a letdown. Perhaps I was expecting too much of The Ring in it, and I don't think I should've. It actually was as stylish as The Ring , although it didn't seem to have the substance that is necessary to make a good movie, or a good horror flick. Also, it was very tame, and while the atmosphere was a little brooding, it didn't keep me at the edge of my seat. For the most part I was reclinded in my chair, restlessly twitching, hoping that it would just hurry up and end. And, sadly, the ending didn't make up for the rest of the movie. Now, I could think of worse horror movies (They), but it was a very medicore film that left me unsatisfied and unfulfilled.

This is my first entry. I joined a few days ago, after ocassionally visiting the site to browse around for a few weeks--to what extent I could browse, not being a member and all. I'm a bit impressed by the scope of the site, and how much of a community everything seems. It's very immersive and... large, which is a good thing the site has going for it.

Well, that's really all I wanted to mention. I just got off work tonight, and I need to take a shower and then go to bed so I can wake up and do it all over again, so I'll see all 2,000,000 of sometime in the future.
