Wow, it's been forever since I have posted a blog here. What can be said? I'm still as single as I can possibly get, not by my choice, but because of lack of good options, lol. I do believe I searching for a girl who hasn't been born, just like the Led Zeppelin song. Oh well, love can find me.

And for the band? We are doing bad as fuck all! We are booking tons of shows, despite playing musical chairs in the lead guitar position. We've had 4 leads since Feb. WTF!? We changed the name of the band from Mostly About Dick to 45Auto Blues because of the homophobes out there, lol. And we'll prolly drop the Blues part of the name as well because we are switching formats where we now play blues we are going more towards original blues, hard rock, AND gypsy punk! That's right, I said gypsy punk.

We played a killer show last night and decided that it was our current lead's last night in the band, he's just being too much of a dick head. That and both our other guitarists dropped out too, so it's just me, my bassist and drummer. But we are picking up a violinist... So we are in search of a guitarist yet again but have a few prospects lined up.

As for love? Will I find it again, I'm truly just not sure anymore. Unless one of you beautiful tattooed girls wanna come steal my heart, lol.

Well, I guess I'm back to the dating pool yet again. It turns out the girl who had my heart has hang up still from her divorce. Which I can't blame her too much, but she shouldn't have started dating me and clawing her way into my heart if she was just going to get bored with playing with it once she had it. Not very nice, but fuck it right? If they don't respect it they don't deserve it.

On another brighter note, my band landed their 1st gig last Friday at University Area Hangout. We were the only rock/blues/cover band with a bunch of metal bands BUT we were in a crowd who liked rock so they responded better to us.

It was our 1st official show and we played a short set, six songs, and we had to do it without our lead guitarist. Yeah I know a blues band without a lead guitar, sacrilege, but we had to play because we didn't wanna cancel our 1st show, lol. Our lead quit on Tuesday... ouch. So we had our jitters and problems, but handled ourselves great. I got so hammered drunk I mixed the lyrics up on one song but we just cut it short and started another one. And our drummer ended a song a verse early, BUT we persevered and I guess they liked us because they called us back on Sunday and booked us a show on August 1st.

We also are going to be a regular band at Pegasus Lounge on Thursdays starting on July 3rd too, and me and my basist are doing a promotion deal with another club here, The Bullsclub, where we are getting the bands together. So, for someone who considers himself non musically talented, our band is blowing up quickly.

So despite having a broken heart yet, life's looking peachy again.

SO, I've haven't posted a blog since my 1st one so I figured I'd shoot out a new one. What's up with Joey? Well, the band is going nicely, we played a couple live deals, nothing big, just to get our feet wet and did well. We had to part ways with our lead guitarist because he turned out to be a scam artist, and this week we get to meet our next prospect who is supposed to be better than our original one. We are still just a blues cover band right now, we haven't got too dirty yet with the lyrics. Although I am pretty vulgar in between songs. I offended a youth group table of people at an open mic blues night, which was great, lol.

Anyhow, we are practicing our asses off and should be playing live shows here in the Tampa area really soon again. More than likely at Pegasus Lounge and Brass Mug which are the local hot spots for up and coming bands. So look for us there.

So, I've been talked into being lead singer in a blues/metal/comedy band. My friends have all heard me do my freestyle blues songs on harmonica when I get really drunk, so finally at my birthday 2 weeks ago, we decided to start a band. It's going to be mainly a blues band with a little heavy metal edge, if that's possible. We plan on doing covers but changing the words, seeing as I have a talent for being able to change the words to any song into horribly offensive and sexual lyrics.

So, now we have a band, called "Mostly About Dick" due to the songs mainly being about my dick or having sex with someone, SOOOOOO, every one can do a myspace search for my shitty band and send me a friend request there too, lol.

There's a bad track of me singing a blues song drunk off my ass, because we haven't yet gotten together to practice and record anything. Most of the members have already been in bands so just me and one of our guitarist or newbies so we should do decent. I can sing as long as I'm piss ass drunk so our shows should be funny. I anticipate us getting tossed from most bars we play at, but hey, FUCK EM' ALL!
