NICK PLAYING SOLO SHOWCASE IN PARIS TODAY
This is a special announcement to all the Gravenhurst fans in Paris. Nick Talbot will be performing songs from the new album The Western Lands and other Gravenhurst classics at Le Truskel in Paris today, Wednesday 10th October.
This event starts at 8PM and it's free admission too so get there early if you don't want to miss out on this exceptional and intimate performance!
From 10pm until late local DJs will be playing records from sixties garage rock to contemporary pop hits.

These days I took a job in another school, a full-time position this time ! it's a bit disturbing at first, everything works differently, kids aren't the same but sometimes look like kids from my previous school and I totally mess up with the names, but time is doing its job. Now it's almost OK! My previous collegues are all leaving the school now I'm gone, atmosphere has been bad recently...
New season in september is always welcoming plenty of new tv series ! I'm fond of House,MD these days, and watched some of the new ones : Reaper (directed by Kevin Smith!), Chuck, Pushing Daisies, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Bionic Woman, Journeyman... all this is really not bad! The Sarah Connor Chronicles should start in 2008, the file I found is a preair, and is a Terminator 2 sequel... really promising! And of course... Heroes, Dexter and Prison Break have started again too ! I wish French TV could have some good French tv shows as well! They tried... but it totally sucked.
Back when I was in Tokyo as a tourist, I bought a lot of CDs there. One of them is a double album from Shena Ring, can't remember the name... but I remember I love the first track of the white CD, and I found a different version of this song on Youtube. It used to be rock, and on this video it's more classical but still excellent! She's sexy and very talented!

Another CD I bought is from a band I didn't know called "GO!GO!7188". It was aired in the shop I was in (HMV) and I decided to buy it (I was rich at that time !). Back in France I read somewhere that in fact this album I bought (Toranoana) was a full of covers from other artists... even anime music! (Cutie Honey

Other than that I've been to the cinema lately, and I saw a very good one ! 28 Weeks Later !
God, the movie is amazing, nervous, well played and directed, excellent musical theme declined in soft and hard version... See the "montage" bellow, it shows the trailer of "28 days later" and "28 Weeks Later" with the main theme of both movies !

The second movie is far better than the first one, the first ten minutes are amazing, the movie is violent and not hiding anything. Very good for the genre! The fact is, it's not even a zombie slasher movie, because those aren't zombies. They run and they run pretty fast!

I just loved it
I've seen this movie last year "Je vais bien, ne t'en fais pas" (Don't Worry, I'm Fine), it's a French movie as there are some : emotional, based upon the actors and feelings... I remembered I really liked it. his morning I heard the song that was used as the theme for the movie.
I didn't know AaRON, I thought it was a rapper... Anyone knows him/them ? Is everything as good ?

Finished the ultimate Harry Potter book yesterday !
No spoilers but I think it was OK, that it somehow couldn't end any other way without being disappointing. Rowling made her best on this one to satisfy everyone, answering all the questions still remaining, and explaining all the characters that were still unrevealed.
Now the Potter story is clear as crystal, everything is understood... and that can be the one thing I regret. It's a bit like The Dark Tower, except that I miss the character of Roland (and the others), whereas in Harry Potter, I have a feeling that it's over, for good, and I finally don't care anymore. I'm not sure of what it means though...

Just because I wanted to post it here as well : this week-end we've been to my girlfriend's sister's appartment. She has TV by DSL with Free, and on this network there's a channel called NoLife. It's full of Japanese stuff (jpop, anime) and the motto there is "Il n'y a pas que la vraie vie dans la vie !" (There isn't only real life in life !).
