Ok so to start this off I already wrote this once and SG lost it for me. Thanks SG servers.
I am sick. And I am so tired of being sick.
(For the records my doctor is cool, but I haven't been able to schedule an appt to see him recently so I've been seeing this new female doctor who is in the same practice because her schedule is more open. And for the record I have nothing against lady doctors, just this one as you will see...)
October - Start feeling run down like I'm getting sick. Go in and see her, she says its probably my allergies. I can buy that b/c of the time of year.
November - Get a killer sore throat, I mean pins and needles every time I swallow. I get an appt with her again. She tells me she see nothing wrong. Does a rapid strep test which comes back negative. Seeing my frustration she offers to swab again and send it off to the lab for a deeper test. It comes back positive...duh. So I get some amoxicilin (for the billionth time in my life). It seems to go away. (I didn't get to drink over the holiday either...grrrr.)
December - I had a dentist appointment Thursday and woke up Friday with a sore throat. This happens to me some, I think no biggie, it will dissipate during the day. It doesn't. It get worse and fast. Right back to the same symptoms as last month. I call my actual doctor. His nurse gives me a prescription for amoxicilin again to get me through the weekend. She said to call back if I wasn't any better.
Monday I am not better and feel worse. So I call and end up with the lady doctor yet again. What does she say? Nothing seems wrong with me. I shoot her a very dirty look. She offers no tests only to keep taking the amoxicilin and if I'm not better in a few days to call back and they'll refer me to a specialist. So I called back yesterday and got the nurse for my doctor and now I have an appt today with a specialist.
I mean I am not someone who gets sick often. And if I go to the doctor, I am sick. How the fuck can she say for 3 months in a row nothing is wrong with me?? I have never been to the doctor and them tell me oh nothings wrong you're just a hypochondriac. And again I won't get to enjoy and tasty beverages over the holidays.
Sorry for my first real blog in a long time to be a bitch fest but I'm stuck at home cause I can't work, cause I can't talk. Bleh.
I want to have a girl go slap this lady doctor and ask for my co-pays back. Any volunteers?

do you still have your tonsils? I'm always a fan of cowboy medicine (meaning alcohol), how about alcoholic eggnog? Southern Comfort makes some. Less burny than straight up alcohol and seasonally delightful
