I have always considered myself a misanthrope. If I talk to you, I hold you in much higher regards than most humans. I think overall humanity is ignorant and self destructive. It occured to me over the weekend (I was at work, home of a lot of people that I really don't like/can't understand) that being misanthropic is sometimes like kicking a retarded bunny. Maybe I should just feel bad for the people I despise, some of them can't help it I'm sure. A lot of people, the majority I think, are idiots. Their idiocy makes them assholes for whatever reason. My thought was that maybe it's wrong to hate stupid people, thus the likening to kicking a retarded bunny. Although my analogy is probably off because bunnies are way cuter and less self destructive than people.
On a sadder note, my friend died of cancer saturday, it was a long fight and she fought valiantly. She never let it get her down, no matter all the complications. I will miss her. That means I have lost two friends, a person and a dog, to cancer in less than a month. Someone needs to kick cancers ass.
