So I found out at the beginning of the week that I'm off back to Afghan over Xmas, I only got back in April this year. I am and aren't looking forward to it, I love my job and what I do, and out there your relied on, I was the go to guy when it came to Miniguns, but on the downside.... It was fucking cold! I don't like extremes, I'm a middle man, a British man, where very picky, or I am at least haha.
The missus ain't too happy either, she loves Xmas (unlike me) and we've always had a week long piss up Xmas eve/my bday/nye. But I think she just needs to look at the positives in the situation, I get promoted in October, and with the increased income and bonus from being on Ops means, we can furnish our house properly (her job doesn't pay well at all) and I can get a new car.

Oh well, it's only a 3 monther and I'll be back before her bday in March, Xmas & 2 bdays rolled into one eh!
