This holiday season has been bittersweet. Some incredible things and some incredibly sad things.
Happy
Scotty and I are now engaged! I am overjoyed with this new chapter of my life. It is so fluid and easy now. We are the very best of friends and I'm really happy to take the plunge with such a wonderful man.
Sad
My beloved, loyal friend of 14 years passed away when my sister and I visited our parent's home for the holidays. He died with us all around him saying how much we loved him. I can't think of a better way for a family member to die. He was so so so loved up until his very last breath.
Happy/Sad
We are moving to SoCal. Scott is pursuing mechanical engineering and we have a sweet setup that is cheaper, safer, and smarter. Planning on saving money and buying a house! I'm going to miss my dear friends in the Bay Area but it's time to start a new chapter.

I quit my job because my boss was increasingly abusive and insane. I feel free but also fear because I didn't really have a back up plan... but I couldn't stay. I went to work the other day and she was standing at the front door crazy-eyed with a list in her hand of things she wanted to argue about and specific texts from her phone she wanted to get into. That and she dropped the n-bomb and the f.a.g.- bomb in front of her kiddo and that compromised my integrity big time. I tried to quit and she lost her mind and flipped out a bunch and took off leaving me with her kid. Just so unhealthy. I can take a lot of crazy and a lot of shit from people but she was over the top.
