i hate when you're really looking forward to a certain show and there's a different show in that slot but you wait until your show is supposed to start in case Rogers fucked up but they didn't cause your show never comes on then you go on the website and find out your show is taking a week off just to piss you off... WHY TRUE BLOOD? WHY?

July 1st is also my sisters birthday so I took her out for lunch and then I had friends up to the cottage for the night. It was a nice low-key evening.
I'm moving! My best friend just bought a house and I'm moving in with her the first week of August. I was getting kinda sick of living downtown by myself so it'll be a nice change to have more space, in a quieter neighbourhood with parking! Jocelyn is a nurse so I'll have the house to myself one or 2 nights a week and it's also a 10 minute walk from work! I'm pretty excited.
OH! My Uncle/Boss was fired 3 weeks ago! It's sad because my uncle was laid off but good at the same time because he really wasn't a very good boss. It was an HR decision but no one knows the details. This really couldn't have come at a better time because I had started looking for other work. Our Regional Manager will be working out of our office until things settle down but he's great. There have been so many changes and I'm really excited for this season! I've already gotten a new job description (so I'll actualy be doing what an Office Coordinator should be doing and I got a raise and the promise of a bonus at Christmas!
Bluesfest starts in 6 days! I'm excited! I also have tickets to see Green Day on the 17th. It's going to be a great summer! New house, tons of concerts...

So I've been sick. I woke up last Thursday to a really bad cold and figured I had just caught a cold. I went up to my Grand-Parent's cottage on the weekend and spent the whole time in bed. My Aunt who's a nurse was seriously concerned and said I had all the symptoms of swine flu. She said she gets reports at work and last Thrusday and Friday there were 150 confirmed cases of swine flu in Ottawa. So Monday morning I called in sick, then called my doctor to book an appointtment. They wouldn't even let me come in to the clinic! I was assessed by the nurse over the phone and told I most likely had swine flu. She told me to stay in bed for at least a week until I feel better and they faxed me a prescription for antibiotics and a doctor's note for work. So I've been in bed all week feeling like total shit and going completely insane with boredom. I woke up this morning feeling a little better so hopefully I'll be over this crap by next Monday so I can go back to work.
I saw No Doubt in Montreal on Wednesday night! They were AMAZING and so nostalgic. We got general admission tickets so that we could have room to dance and by the end of the night I was completely exhausted. I'm sure the concert didn't help me at all with getting better but I couldn't not go!
