So after being phoneless for 4 days, which really sucked, I got my fancy new phone Thursday. It can do a lot of shit that I will never figure out, and I have somehow set everything to military time, which is very annoying. My SIM card somehow didn't save my boyfriends number so I had to manually type that in. That was about midnight on Thursday, and I immediately sent him a text saying "My phone is working"! I get a text back saying "who is this", and thinking he was joking around, I reply with, "Your girlfriend, dumbass"!!! That is when I realized I had typed in his number just a tad incorrectly. So I would like to apologize to whatever innocent person I probably pissed off.

The man and I have been on a quest to find new restaurants in the area. There is an interior Mexican place downtown that everyone raves about, and they recently opened a location in my neck of the woods, so we gave it a try last Monday. It was probably the shittiest dining experience we have ever had, and we are very low maintenance customers. Bring us our shit and we are happy. Our waiter greeted us with "Um we don't have our liquor license, so all we have is rocks margaritas and Dos Equis". Which was bullshit, because I saw some bright red drinks go by. It took him 20 minutes to get our guacamole appetizer out, and then we never saw him again. The food was bland and way overpriced, and the motherfucker charged us for my margarita, which you can't do if you don't have a liquor license. Fuck that place.

The next night we went to some Texas themed joint, which I was sure would be really hokey. Turned out to be fabulous in every aspect. I had huge jalapenos stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in bacon, and the man got a huge plate of ribs, and I swear the meat was literally falling off the bones. Fuck yeah.

In other news, summer is officially here. I was innocently walking the pooch by my pool yesterday, and had the pleasure of seeing a rather portly older gentleman sprawled out like a walrus in his lovely black Speedo thong. I will put money on the fact that he will be at the pool every day for the next 5 months or so, and I bet he tries to chat me up

After much consideration, I have chosen "if You Were Here" by the Thompson Twins as my new ringtone. This is probably due to the fact that I recently watched Sixteen Candles and love the ending scene. It was between that song and "I've Always Been Crazy" by Waylon Jennings. The tone for my alarm is the theme song from the Twilight Zone, which I am sure will start each day off well. Where do I come up with this shit
