Bah... way to busy and frantic to write anything serious. Please forgive me.

Basically I just got back from a very relaxing vacation to the wilds of Montana. Played with the camera, may post some pics soon.

I am also ready for my art photography course next week. Should be wicked.

So I say good night. I promise to write something with a little more substance next week, got a lot on my mind as of late and it makes it extremely difficult to organize ones thoughts.

Ok time for a new blog... but I'm tired, scruffy, and mildly insane at the moment. Until tomorrow...

Blog time.

So I have signed up for a week long art photography course up in Red Deer from July 7 - 11. 5 days away from work, friends, family, just me, my camera, some other photographer wannabes like me and a pro photographer to teach us. Should be a blast, It will definitely be nice get into another hobby.

I have been excessively bored as of late. Sure I've been doing my working out, and watching movies, and playing the odd video game, and working. But there is just time void I'm feeling. Like I could be doing something more, anything, but I don't know what.

So I am going to pose a rather odd question. I'm going out on a real limb here, the nerd/macho asshole in me keeps telling me this is completely ludicrous, but there is a part of me that thinks it could be fun. Unfortunately this is the part of me that I seem to have been repressing for a while now and I'm not sure how to deal with it.

A little while ago, one of my extended family, and aunt in particular said I should go into modeling. At the time of course I thought she was being funny, but lately I have been curious about the prospect. Reading into it, one realizes that I would be out of place in most circles. I'm not buff enough to do sports modeling and I'm to short for fashion (the average being from 5'10'' - 6'2''ish, I'm only 5'8''...I think).

As of now I've told two of my buddies about the idea, they both thought it was quite the curve ball, one thought it was an interesting idea, the other thought I was coming out of the closet and made some bad jokes about nude modeling, which when thinking about it, probably wouldn't be out of the question.

I guess the question is, is this a foolish prospect? Any input would be appreciated.

Fuck this is weird...

Ironed out the finishing touches on lodging in Lethbridge for school this weekend. The place we are renting is tight... huge common room, big ass kitchen and a freaken pool table. Roommates that were there are all nice and laid back. Bedrooms a little small, but I guess that's all you need for sleeping, studying and the few moments of naughtiness that come your way.

Played with my camera for a bit today, most of the pics weren't that good due to them being taken from inside a moving car.

Not much other then that. Hope you all had a wicked weekend.

Ok lets see...

Pretty uneventful last few days. Little bit of work, little bit of gaming, little bit of goofing off.

Just beat Bioshock. Wicked game when you have the lights out and the sound cranked. Nothing like sneaking around in the dark and bludgeoning mutants to death with a pipe wrench. For those of you who have played it, yes I did save ALL of the little sisters, so you can keep all your monster comments to yourself.

Going down to Lethbride this weekend to scout out a couple places of lodging, unfortunately this means that I will not be able to grace you all with my presence at the SG picnic on Saturday, I'm sure you will all survive.

Thats about it.

Ok. Not too much new.

This weekend was spent working and cleaning. Work was unusually dead this weekend, so me and my coworker made balloon animals and discussed the finer points of moral philosophy all day. He was the one who recommended that book "The Pig that wants to be Eaten", and yes, I totally get payed to make balloon animals in an electronics store.

Also spent time ridding myself of old textbooks from my first failed attempt at post secondary, had way to many old biology and chemistry texts. Clutter irritates me.

In other news, just picked up Disturbed's new album "Indestructible". Probably not too many peoples cup of tea, but I like it.

Also I just completed a book. Definitely recommend it to those of you that enjoy philosophy.
It's an relatively easy read, full of moral conundrums. It takes arguments that seem very black or white, and then paints an entire greyscale of possibilities, and in the process still not give you a straight answer. It definitely test your moral fiber and if you finish it, I guarantee that you will have questioned at least a few of your set beliefs and values.

It's called "The pig that wants to be eaten" by Julian Baggini.
