My mamas and pa are reading Jamie's book -- he dedicated it to them along with his parents. My whole family is touched beyond words. As most of you know, my family is special needs... Mamas proudly announced she is on page 65 and has a dictionary for the hard words and an atlas for the countries and cities she doesn't know. She made me cry when she said that. She will finish that book no matter how difficult for her, and I love her for that determination she instilled in me. I love Jamie so much for including my parents in this endeavor.

Holy CRAP I have a fuckload of work to do.

Spent the evening with Husband and it kicked ass. Taking Lil Livi to see Ratatouille on Sunday and then off to play dress up with some dresses I picked up at the goodwill and wings I fashioned out of hangers, duct tape and leftover wedding tulle. I'm the freakin' Maguyver of playdates.

What is up with friends lately? I must be in purge mode and don't realize I'm soaking in it....

Cafe la Cave offered me a position and I took it. I am now their smokin' hawt, sexy, and sassy corporate events director. The salary has made me much less stabby in life.

I have never felt more comfortable while interviewing for a position. A good sign I think. Chicago SGs, you can still smoke at the bar until the end of the year. Come get you some swanky hot steak action:
