why does no one go to the drive in theater anymore? i think they are fun. you can be as loud and obnoxious as you'd like, you can sneak people in if you'd really like, bring in your own food, have some drank and act out in great fuckery. and you know, the whole two movies for eight dollars thing is appealing....
so obviously, i've just come from the drive in.

i changed my username again, which is probably annoying for other members of the site - but i changed it to coordinate with what my name would be were i to become an SG. case closed.
we did the art on lark show this weekend, which actually had a nice turnout. there were a lot of interesting vendors there and by the end of the day, i had a pretty good haul of goodies for myself. including three small comics drawn locally, a print of a hindu goddess riding an owl, a journal and a compass. spoil-ify yourself for pictures from the show.

i finally bought myself a copy of ghost world. i've read it over about five times, but i never owned it. my mother took me to see a special screening of the movie when i was a freshman in high school. as a surly adolescent, i really loved the movie and ended up loving the book as well. as a surly..... non-adolescent, i still really love the character enid and feel an attachment to her. so i'm quite happy to finally have made the purchase.
i also bought Albert Camus', The Stranger.
