Pheme's pet peeves
This is the New Enlgand region of the United States of America
It is comprised of Maine, Vermont, New Hampsire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
This is the Mid Atlantic region
New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia
And this is the South Eastern Region
North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida
(This map also includes Tennesse, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas but I am speaking mainly of the eastern seaboard)
It just annoys me that people place New York and often New Jersey in New Enlgand.
Don't get me wrong I ADORE New England, I consider myself a part time New Englander because of my close proximity to Connecticut I just want to set the record straight.
It also annoys me when people who are citizens of the United States of America say, "I am an American!" when they really mean, "I am a citizen of the United States of America!" because if you look at a map Canada is in North AMERICA and ALL those countries south of us are Central America and South America so they're American too only not Citizens of the States.
OK so that's one of my pet peeves...blame it on Sister Mary Joel, Goodes World Atlas and Freshman Geography which was...nearly 30 years ago.
Shit, I can't remember where I left my car keys but I can remember this stuff...maybe I need my own personal nun to scare the crap out of me to remember?
