This may surprise you. But PaulNikon takes homelessness personally.

To be honest, I find it hard to see a human being sleep in the street. Especially as rich as this country is.

I have never had much money in the bank. And I pay taxes. It doesn't make sense to me that America can rain Tomahawk missiles onto Iraq at $1,000,000 a piece. BUT we can't pay a homeless persons rent.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'd prefer a missile take the place of a bomber crew. I love my country and those who protect it.

But we should able to house the homeless.

Just saw something interesting on PBS. An organization in New York City houses the homeless. The organization, Pathways to Housing, does NOT require the homeless to get clean, get a job or any other requirement.

Turns out, paying a homeless persons rent is cheaper than not paying a homeless persons rent. Pathways to Housing helps homeless with mental issues. The average dollar amount spent on these people for emergency services in a year is about $100,000. $22,000 is less than $100,000.

And, a person lives in a home. As a hman being should. Not on the street. Like an animal.

Take a look.

It is amazing how a persons mind will clear. How responsible they become. When they have a roof over there head. A key in there pocket, that opens the door to there own home.

Saw I am legend on Saturday. It was good. That Will Smith can act. I really liked that dog too.

Maybe I'll get a puppy for Chrstmas. A puppy that will help me hunt zombies.

So, I have been having these dreams. It seams I am John Connor. Keep having these post-apocalyptic dreams. And PaulNikon takes an active roll in organization and battle. Crazy. Seems like the Wilderness Survival merit badge will come in handy.

Drove a friend of my mom's to the airport at 3:00am. Paid me $120 to do so. Not bad for two hours work.

The beautiful Jessica* came by to say Hi to me a couple of times at work. Realized after the second time it was time to clock-out. So I called her and tagged along on her shopping spree.

Also, she dyed her hair a dark brown. Just like PaulNikon likes it. Coincidence?

I work as an engraver right now.

So, I am at the mall in my little kiosk and these two Eastern European chicks come up to find a gift. Our engraving time is usually an hour. They asked how long for engraving and I say "an hour". And on that day we were pretty busy, so it really was an hour. The hotter of the two young ladies scooped up her big boobs with her arms and asked if it could be done sooner. What did PaulNikon say?

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

He said no. Its an hour. PaulNikon means what he says.

I am not going to inconvenience another customer because Boobs is late for a party.

PaulNikon is surprisingly professional. Even with the big boobies in his face.

One thing that may surprise you about engraving is we see a lot of crying. People get items "In Memory" of a loved one. And the whole thing is emotional for them. Especially when they think of the sentiment they have engraved.

Lady cried tonight. I told her I have seen a lot of crying on the job. Have even cried myself. We hear some sad stories.

Damn. I forgot to get a laser pointer at the Dollar Store. Wanted to get the puppies and kittens crazy at the pet store.

Bought a handheld engraver there the other day. We totally played with it all day today. Engraving by hand is HARD. Thank God for computers.

Um, I guess that is about it. Seems like there was one more story. But its gone.

The last journal had some swell Christmas Light pictures. Check them out.

What a day. Got some extra hours at work. Well, 1.5 extra.

Went Christmas shopping. Almost completely done with that. Uncle Deke has caused me a problem. So has the $5 limit. What can you get for $5 you ask? Very little. Thank God for the dollar store.

Cooking pasta as I write. And have two days off. So happy.

OH! I almost forgot. Bought this DVD in the dollar section at Target. It is a fireplace. And you can either run it on "crackling fire" sound. Or Christmas music. I love it.

Have a good week. smile
