Had a fantastically amsuing night with my best girlies, xLemoLaurax and Eilonwy_Aire.

I want more picture taking.

I've been feeling a little out-of-step lately. The weather is cheering up lately (how wonderfully British of me to mention the weather. *rolls eyes at self*). The sun has come out, reminding me of lush summer afternoons, and this does give me optimism. I'm just being a baby, I think. It's a lonely sort of time of year. Essays, exams, etc. are killing my social life.


It my have something to do with my impending doom/tragic drama exam. I'm getting two questions, on Hamlet, Ghosts (Ibsen) and Oedipus Rex. Luckily, I'm familiar with the texts, but my brain goes mushy in exams, and I waffle incessantly. Dagnabbit.

But, many good things are happening, as well. A set I suggested for 'Classic set of the day' has been chosen. I'm very much looking forward to seeing it up, and I hope the lovely lady who's set it is will enjoy it too.

I got my grant through, and purchased a few extremely snazzy items, one being a speedlite 430 ex II for my camera. I haven't had much practice with it yet, but I took a couple of pictures of my cat Wednesday just now. I vill improve. I'm waiting for a mini soft-box so it doesn't look so harsh.




I took a couple of pics with this adorable little hat I had for Christmas from my aunt, too. These were pre-flash, so they are regretably grainy.








Next time I shall show you my hideously magenta hair, and tell you all about how much chocolate I've eaten, and the creepy dreams I've been having.

I come on here every day, and every time I think about updating my blog, but I never do. So, I decided to do it now, even though I don't feel like I've collected enough to say. Well, we'll see.

Christmas was lovely. I was at home for it, and it was rather fun. I got some lovely presents, which I will talk about at some other point, most likely! New years was better. My friends and I rented a cottage for the weekend, and had a lot of fun.

We visited the beach on the way home. My word, it was cool. The caves were awesome.

So was the sand. It had this strange two toned wave pattern.

I attempted to cut my hair, and the strimmers got caught right at the front, so I had to cut it all off. I look like a fool, but I'm enjoying not having hair to hide behind.






I have so much stuff to upload from my camera, but my cf card reader broke. What a bitch, eh? I have a new one coming tomorrow, though, so I'll update again then!

ALSO - I just finished 'Geek Love' by Katherine Dunn. I am in loooooove. I thank the amazing users of SG for recommending it to me in the first place. I anticipate lots of fan art from me in the near future.

This week I have mostly hidden from the world, behind my computer.



I think I'm hiding from winter! I'm mostly hiding here, and on my tumblr. It's a pretty existence, I can tell you. I just made myself a snazzy windows 7 theme for my laptop including 22 of my favourite girls. My eyes will be happy forever! I very much recommend it as an activity for everyone. I tried to make it almost sfw, but I failed. The naked is just too pretty.

Also, remember I said I cut off my hair 'Catherine' style? Well, there's this awesome article for you guys to see - Mena Suvari and Nicole_Powers on the 'Garden of Eden' film. I was really impressed. Now I *really* want to see this movie!

In other news, something about some winter holiday that's looming?
Really, my love for 'Christmas' (or, in other words - copious amounts of food, tinsel, fairy lights and present exchanging) knows no bounds. I may actually take some Xmas themes pictures. For now this is all I have.


I'm slowly falling in love with my camera. I still suck at working it, but I vill learn. I quite like the above picture.

I shot some self portraits today. I'm getting the hand of it, sort of.

I've been web-mad today. I've been on here since I woke up, continuously - but I did get some things done!

I cut a chunk of my hair off.


More pictures under the spoiler. I really love this hairstyle. I went all out, and shaved more or less half my head. I want to shave it all off, but my face is totally too round for that at the moment My squintness is getting so much more noticeable. Haha. Maybe I should visit a doctor?!
