So we're settling in. I think this near-constant drizzly weather might even be growing on me. I am loving our neighborhood and finding more and more cool things within walking distance. I'm falling more in love with our house. It's 98 years old and huge. It's actually way too much house for us but after living in such cramped quarters in Hawaii, it's a welcome change.

A friend came out to a great breakfast with us this morning (I had a Bloody Mary and a pancetta/arugala benedict). love and took us to Free Geek afterward. It was radtacular.

We're having a housewarming party on March 13th. It will be interesting to see who shows. I'm still unemployed for the near foreseeable future but not completely broke. So if anyone wants to lure me out of the house to do something, let me know. I live right down the street from the Bagdad, so that's an easy sell.

In the meantime, I'm getting ready to paint and starting to play in the garden. In the seemingly untended backyard I found a big neglected strawberry patch, chives, chocolate mint, thyme, lemon balm and lots of pretty bulbs poking through the very rich soil. There's also a composter and a rain collecting barrel. I'm pretty stoked. Pictures soon.

XO Jess

Right? We didn't get up to Ashland last year due to monetary constraints. My parents are pushing for a summertime visit. I've got my fingers crossed.

Yeah sadly I had to kidnap and say I'd kill her family to get the picture. True story.

I'd love to get you out of your house. I need to get out of mine as well frown been cooped up and unemployed for too long. In the process of moving though, so it may have to wait until that's done.

Yeah. That's the first major project I've completed in a long time. I have a bad habit of starting things and losing interest. If I'm actually making it for someone I'm much more likely to finish. If you wanted to commission something from me you're more likely to get it than if you just wait for me to produce something. ooo aaa
