Getting too old to break out
Sunday, August 29th, Sham 69 show...
1> I got there late. I got there during Flipper. See previous blog for details of their suckitude.
2> Sham 69 went on at midnight. This means work today will suck donkey ass. That said, it was worth it. The energy, talent, stamina, and general feel was still there. Jimmy still looks like the kid who got beat up a lot in high school grew up and formed a band, but despite my differences with his messages, I was VERY impressed with the performance. One thing annoyed me, though, which was that they played BORSTAL BREAKOUT twice, and skipped a few songs that should have been included in their set, like "Give a Dog a Bone". If all does not suck on Monday, I will try to stop by for Sham part II, but as it stands it looks doubtful.
