I had already ordered my coffee. I didn't really want one but the boy behind the counter was looking for something to do. She wasn't drinking anything but if she were it would've been a hot chocolate, I thought.
The light was unremarkable at this time and did nothing to highlight her face. I had made eye contact with it three times now. She didn't move. Except to itch her leg. About seven minutes ago.
My coffee arrived; taking the boy surprisingly long to produce, considering he had nothing else to do. A short conversation ensued. The boy was a student, his job here had been taken to fund his studies. He liked the same music as me.

Just saw Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It was alright. It didn't do justice to the book though. The characters were a bit flat to be honest, and I remember the book being a lot funnier. Maybe it's because I read the book with the innocent glaze of ignorance that one has up until the age of about 15. I'll have to read it again.

I saw this thing on Richard & Judy where this lady was bragging about guardian angels and how everyone has a few of them. They stand behind you. She can see them and tell you about them. Their goal is to make and keep you happy. You can ask them to do things for you and they'll do it.
Ok it sounds stupid. I don't believe in organised religion, in fact I positively despise it. But I do believe in spirituality. I'm going through a somewhat stressful time at the moment so I thought I'd give the whole guardian angels thing a shot. I'm finding myself asking them stuff at least once a day. I think it works, not in any scientifically provable way, but it does.
I mean, it's not like I ask "move that chair" but it's more subjective stuff like "help me pass this exam" or "help me get a girlfriend".
