Thanks for the birthday wishes! Life has changed a lot for me in the last year. I don't spend a lot of time online. I do spend a lot of time at the gym, coaching, doing paperwork, and all the fun stuff that comes with running a business. It amazes me to look back and compare my life now to my life during the time I was active here. It's hard to find even one common thread. Hell, I don't even live with my cat anymore. Everything is upside down.
But it's good. Really good.
You?

Oh... and here's my face. Just in case you're wondering if I still have a face.

Oh hey I totally did open that CrossFit gym. Live in SF? Got some cash and want your ass kicked? Feel free to drop on by
All this time I have been signing off my emails "xoxo Olivia". You know who I stole that from? Missy.
Now that I'm a Very Serious Gym Owner™ it seems inappropriate. I have taken to bidding adieu with "Thanks, Olivia", which strikes me as boring and stupid.
What is the middle ground between "xoxo" and "thanks"?

So I decided to do something totally different and open a CrossFit & weightlifting gym.

Opening August 16th.

You know what this place feels like? It feels like visiting an apartment which was once your home that you lived in, renovated, spent so much time in that it is intimately familiar. But you moved out, and now other people live here, they just haven't bothered to redecorate.
And those people are 18.

What's new you ask? Well...
I got a job. I teach boot camp at 6am every weekday morning. I'm making it as Crossfitty as I can with no equipment.
I signed up to get two Olympic lifting certifications this month. First up is the USA Weightlifting level 1 coach course. Then I'm flying down to SoCal take the Crossfit Olympic lifting cert with Mike Burgener. Fun times!
I volunteered at the EG conference for the second year in a row.
I made peace with the cold & rain. I'm loving winter.
I bought a piano.

I started watching Lost. Season 2 - no spoilers please!
Aaaaand I'm trying to open a gym here in SF with a friend.
What have you been up to?
Honestly, I have no idea how my life made sense before I started listening to Morrissey.
Oh, hi there. Nothing much has happened since last time I updated.
I put up a badass Christmas tree,
I put up a badass Christmas tree,
Filled out my basement gym,
Got a haircut & colour,
Launched a blog that currently only has one entry,
Filmed myself to check my form doing power cleans & jerks, then put it on YouTube,
Took up adult gymnastics classes,
Did a bunch of Christmas shopping,
Went to a few holiday parties,
Oh. And I did a bunch of long-overdue laundry.
What've you been up to?
