Yesterday I ate at Red Stone Pizzeria Cafe on the corner of E 49 St and Madison.
I ordered 3 egg white omelet with smoked turkey, spinach, and feta. It came with toast and roasted red potatoes.
The omelet was so yum. I just wish my spinach peices had been bigger. The potatoes were great! Garlicky, red oniony, salty, peppery, buttery, wedges of goodness. The toast was... white toast. My very low expectations were met. The drink was Honest Ade brand brand cranberry lemonade. It was blah. It tasted like watered down kool-aid.
The place was clean and cute, but very chain store looking. I don't know if it is a chain store, but it looked like one.
Total bill including tax: $7.30
Obligatory TImes Square pictures.
I'll be gone for a little over a week while my computer is in the shop.
I'm very apprehensive about NYC. I know that I'll be a nervous wreck my few days (maybe months) trying to get used to everything and trying not to get lost, mugged or ripped off. Hopefully, I can make some contacts in the area quickly and they won't suck. (I know that's a long shot.)
The other thing is that my birthday is on the 18th. I'll be 22 years old, but I feel like I'm 40. Anyway, I don't know what I'm going to do on it. The first on the list is MoMA. Or maybe Times Square. I need to decide between calm and quiet or stupid and touristy. Suggestions?
If you didn't know, I drove from Washington to Florida.
Day Five:
Start Chattanooga.
Tennessee was more hilly than I expected.
Georgia wasn't incredible.
Florida is exactly the way I remember it.
End home.
Day Four:
Pictures soon.
Day Four:
Start Kansas City.
Missouri was boring.
Illinois wasn't memorable either.
Kentucky was very verdant.
Tennessee was gorgeous.
End Chattanooga.
Day Three:
I'm tired.
