Holy crap! I just realised that I'd not blogged on here since before xmas!
Xmas & New Year were quiet, don't like either, so nuff said.
Recently I've been composing/recording music and fleshing out ideas for a TV series I'm developing and will end up writing.
Anyone who knows me, knows I am a ridiculously huge Kevin Smith fan. And some folks will know that Smith recently released a teaser for his upcoming horror movie (yes, horror) "Red State" which I am really looking forward to in a big way.
Well, the teaser captured my imagination so much that I started writing music inspired by the teaser. I then tried something I had never done before and imported the movie file into Cubase and started editing a version of my composition to fit in with the trailer, and well, while the music itself isn't fully complete, you get the idea, so make your own mind up.
In regards to the TV Series, I'm basically sick of all the bullshit on British TV right now. It's all fucking gash and only ever really tells tales from a mainstream general public point of view.
My series will be different. It may well have some parallels to things that have been done before in as much that it will fundamentally be about life, love and the struggles we undergo as we try to survive our every day existence, however, I will be telling it from a different, but valid point of view.
There is a definitive theme running through the show that I'm not going to give away as that is my main hook at this point in time.
Thankfully, I am not going to be doing it alone as I essentially pitched the idea to my best friend Supercrush and she liked the idea and then a couple of days later I asked her if she wanted to help me develop it on a more official capacity and she agreed!
Who knows what may come of it, but if you don't even try, then nothing will ever happen.
Got a few other musical projects on the go as well and I'm back to work so life is go!

Pretty cool. Watching these wacky In Flames videos and caught one of the guys (they are a bit blurry so can't tell if it's a band member of not) being tattooed in a Chimaira t-shirt. Instantly smiled and thought of you.

OK, OK, I may have to start listening to "your band" since In Flames seems to pimp them on their clothes enough....
