So, yeah, Valentine's Day. I'm all for love, but I have little use for a day designed to make you measure yourself according to whether you have the perfect relationship. So I'm going to steal an idea from Xylon and fuck Valentine's day right in the ear with an Anti-Valentine's Day mix. Enjoy!

Thee sunset tonight was truly beautiful. Wispy clouds, streaks of purple and golden amber. I sat and watched the sky for about an hour. I was thinking about a lot of things tonight, but that sunset was bigger and more profound than any of those thoughts.



Sometimes, the beauty of the world can strike deep. It really puts your personal issues in perspective.

So here's to love, truth, kindness and beauty. Wherever you find these things, appreciate the hell out of them.

Not too much to say for myself. Just fought off a week-long bell jarring with the help of some 5htp. Great stuff for someone of my serotonic persuasion. I'm on the wagon for a week or two--not that I'm quitting drinking on any long term basis, thank god. It's more of an energy-focusing measure as I try and revamp some things about my life. Also I restarted a low-carb diet and laying off booze helps ward off late-night pizza temptations. But, fear not my friends, I'll be back to my bon vivant ways soon enough.

Soon I'm going to write a blog about my recent faves in pornography and how much I adore Madison Young.

So I don't mind telling you that 2010 mostly sucked and I'm rather looking forward to seeing it out the door. On the other hand, dealing with all the suck has produced a somewhat stronger, more self-knowledgable Obelisk than before. (My steel was tempered in the firey forge of suckiness, so to speak.)

But enough of that. I plan to welcome in 2011 with a smile. I'm looking forward to exciting projects and spending time with people I care about and by and large increasing my personal awesomeness. (How could he possibly get more awesome, you ask yourself. Well, stand back and grab a towel cause you're gonna need it to wipe up all the awesomesauce I'm gonna be generating.)

I'm going to start a charitable foundation dedicated to giving fake bluetooth headsets to schizophrenics. This will enable them to avoid the stigma of mental illness while still carrying on as many conversations with invisible people as they like. They'll just seem like any other dickhead with a with a wireless earpiece.
