Hello hello. As always it has been a long time since my last blog. (Almost 2 years but whose counting?) I have been very busy these past few months. I decided to take a year off and quickly go back to school. I saw a great opportunity to learn how to cook so i am now enrolled in a fantastic culinary course. Tonight I will be de-boning an entire chicken since I have currently been studying butchery. I will make a chicken galantine with a stuffed Italian sausage forcemeat; should be a lot of fun. I'll make sure to post pictures of it.
In the mean time here is a small selection of what I have been up to. Enjoy!

So Terry Bozzio came into town today to do a drum clinic and I was honored enough to have him ask to use my drums! We spent all day together in the jam space setting it up. We went to the theatre and did sound check. Backstage and side stage during the show. Finally an amazing dinner with great laughs. I just want to say thanks to Terry for making today such a special day!

So today was a very busy day! Started by getting up at 6 to my beautiful gf, going to work, coming home only to go to my second job and finally sitting down just past 9 pm. My girl friend Laura is awesome and hooked me up with a killer job... her own! Now I get to live with her, work with her, and date her hahaha. Basically I went 96 hours of pure contact. On the weekends I come home to do my music related jobs so really that's our only time apart. My cop training is going very well, I am feeling very strong now and am going to do my test hopefully within the next two weeks! I really can't wait to be a cop racing down the highway *starts to daydream* Anyways I hope everyone is doing great as usual and wish everyone the best! Love you all, Ian.

Also here is an awesome photo of Laura. Maybe I see her so much I am seeing double...

Happy Birthday to me! I am now 24 and find it very weird. Anyways I saw Ovo yesterday, the new Cirque Du Soleil and it was amazing as usual. Take care everyone, Ian.
I guess alot has happened since my last post. My best friend of 16 years committed suicide 2 weeks ago. Life hasn't been very easy since and I dearly miss him. He had alot of trouble in his life and I was honoured to do his eulogy. My hair is also gone... I cut it all off to get a Mohawk for him and to have short hair to help my police training. I have been working for months now at becoming a police officer. Let me make this clear, not just any officer but an OPP. That's the Ontario Provincial Police. If you look at Sgt. Peppers costumes look at Paul's arm, you will see a patch. The OPP are the police for all of Ontario, not just regional. I also work for a pharmaceutical company called Galderma with my sister now as well. Thanks Leslie! Life has been busy and emotional I guess. I hope who ever reads this is doing great and wish everybody a great summer/winter depending on where you live. Take care, Ian.
Just updated my info. I always feel so bad about not being ontop of my suicide account. But honestly the internet is getting out of control with all these Myspace, Facebook, Twitter and who knows what next. I need to live my life before I can start posting it to the internet. P.S. whoever reads this. If you have access to a drum set I highly recomend you play it. It will make you feel all warm and fuzzy.
Was going through my iPhoto and found some pictures from Mayhem that I forgot to post in the summer. It was an awesome day, hope you guys enjoy the pictures! P.S. Unless you are a gear freak you probably wont, hahaha....

Got all signed up and am going to Namm this year! If you live in Anaheim CA and are going, hit me up and lets party! Cheers guys and have a very happy holidays!!!
Ever think that when you select "Fuck you I defy categories" you are in fact choosing one. I only did it cause all the other options sucked. Just saying...
So it feels like half a year since my last post, sorry... Busy times. In September I got hired full time at Metal Works Recording Studios and worked on some amazing albums. In September I also turned 22 and realized I better start saving my money because I'm starting to get too old too live at home. After 4 months of 60 hour work weeks with no breaks my body almost fell apart and I had to leave Metal Works. As an assistant in Canada's largest recording studio you don't get time to eat or sleep or rest, you just work. Now I am working at a guitar store to make some christmas cash and because the store is totally Clerks. Everybody is super cool and just the wackiest shit happens. My girlfriend Laura and I are still going super strong after 8 months now and that has been a blast! Last but not least I'm ready for a kick ass Christmas and hope you all have one as well! Lots of parties and good food/drinks. If you get time check out David Clayton Thomas, Protest The Hero, Midway State (produced by Gavin Brown) and the new Nelly Furtado live DVD mixed by Demo. Those were the big projects I worked on and I hope you like em =) Merry Christmas everyone and take care! nobzey =)
