As for the art, SAIC doesn't make you declare a major. I would say visual communication, but I feel like that dumbs down what I'm trying to do. I don't see myself designing logos and packaging for scum bag corporations day in and day out.
The school's encouragement to carve your own path, so to speak, is really what I'm all about. Basically, I'm want to utilize SAIC's conceptual, interdisciplinary curriculum to create works that incorporate several different types of media. I want to be versatile and capable of using a breadth of skills to to create something - be it for an advertiser, video/photo/film production, or my own personal art.
You'd think I read that out of a book. I swear I didn't. I just naturally talk like an art snob, haha...
