Off to Dragon*con and I will be drinking at the Marriott in 24 hours BITCHES!
Get to hang out with my 501st buddies, Aaron Douglass (From BattleStar Galactica), meet Adam from Mythbusters, Sean Astin, AND the twins that played the Weasley brothers from Harry Potter!
I can't wait...
I am just a little sad that I will miss playing in the waves of Hurricane Earl...next time!
Have a good weekend my friends!

Ahhhh! It has been a long time since I have updated!
Well, I got rid of Fraggle (the old car) and traded her in for a new car...Nanu, a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid! I love this car! It gets such wonderful gas mileage, and I can drive it all over CT very very cheaply. Then only downfall is that I have to eventually put in a new "after market" stereo so I can plug in and play my iPod. Oh, and that I totally screwed up my credit when I was 18 with 2 maxed out credit cards (which have been payed off for about 6 months...yay!) so I am paying 11.39% interest. But I think I will get a lot of value from this car so I should be good!
Dragon*con is coming up! I do not know how I am going to afford it, but I already have my plane ticket so I am gunna be there! Slave Leia will def make an appearance, maybe a new costume or two along with some zombie make-up thing.
I am starting to plan the wedding...although we do not have a date yet, I am looking at ideas, and I started putting together a book. We want an outdoor wedding, with the colors blue and orange, and I want one of my horses to carry me in (with both my parents guiding the pony). It is an overwhelming task, to plan a wedding, but luckily I will have my cousin Monica, my future sister-in-law (who has been in like 4 wedding parties) and the fabulous Kiley as bridesmaids!
We have been living in the Artists' Co-Op for almost 2 months now, and love it! It is so nice to live in a clean, quirky building where you are excited, not embarrassed, to have guests over! I love having my friends over for home-made juices, smoothies, dinner and cocktails. Sometimes I bake, and give out treats to other co-op residents. Elliot and I have been working on more art projects and have decorated some of the empty spaces in the halls with simple but interesting art installments. Yesterday we spent 5 minutes photo-copying our faces and hands and then tacked the pictures up on the wall. We found this really excellent copier in a building where I am building a set for a movie that is being filmed in the city.
So, other than looking for a real, adult full time job to pay my 1,000$ in bills every month (not including health insurance at this point cause I am so poor), I am still working at the 2 restaurants and getting random theatre jobs here and there. We plan to get the theatre company I am starting up and rehearsing beginning of August, and the film that I am doing set design for is having shoot dates end of this month! I may even audition for a show at my Alma Mater (yeah, I am all graduated!!!!!!!) if I can fit it into my life schedule.
So, have a great day friends! Hope you are all doing well,
vegan kisses

Its been a while since I updated with a blog here...but so much has been going on that I have little time for internet writing!
Lets see...
Well, I directed a show for children (geared towards the 3rd grade audience) about Pippi Longstocking and it went fabulously! It opened Thursday for the University, and then Friday for the public. May 7th and 14th we are touring to schools.
I am also in Shakespeare's As You Like It in the ensemble. It is a lot of fun, but TONS of dance work. That show goes up next week so starting tomorrow we are starting tech (so I am stuck at school from 12 noon til 11 pm!)
My advanced makeup class is great! I did some awesome horror makeup, and my actually get a quick job doing horror makeup for town fire departments when they do large scale crash scene practices.
Elliot and I are still madly in love. The cat is still fat, the apartment is still clean (even with a lot of my stuff here!). His parents now know that we are engaged, and we just have to let my folks in on it...sometime.
The horses are great too! Sam had a bit of a lyme-type disease, but that blew over in a week or two. Astrid had some hoof rain rot in all four of her feet during the nasty rain we had here in the Northeast about a month ago, but now she's great! They even went out on a nice trail ride and everything!
I might start finishing/training another horse this summer, Sam's half sister, Delilah. Then another horse, Pilgrim, a two year old, is going to be ready to start doing some round pen work and ponying around! yay! I love when I can stay busy with ponies...
I graduate in May. This is hugely exciting! After 7 long years, I will have two degrees: A BA in History US, and a BFA in Educational Theatre. The scary thing is I pretty much just quit my job waitressing in order to try to find a job in a theatre/teaching. Another possibility is that I attempt to become a flight attendant so I can travel more. Cause, I really, really, really want to travel all over the world. I have friends in Germany, South Africa, France, Greece, Puerto Rico that I want to just hop on a plane and go visit for the summer and work. BUT I do not think Elliot will take so kindly to that idea.
I painted another mural on campus this past weekend. It is not as good as the other one, but it has a deeper meaning. This one is about the drug Premarin and how it causes breast cancer in women it is supposed to be helping. The main ingredient is PMU: Pregnant Mare Urine. gross right? well it was given to my Grandma, and now she, along with thousands of other women, developed breast cancer.

The only sad news here to report is that my car, Fraggle is dying. I am looking for a new car, but an older used Jetta. They are great on gas, super cute, and German. I just do not know if I want to spend money on a car now when I could be using that money to travel! But, alas, life comes before fun. Depending if I move this summer, and where I get a job in the Fall and if the car fully dies this summer, depends on when and if I get a new car.
And I will end on a wonderful note that I have dropped 2 dress sizes! Woo Hoo! I do not know how I managed it, but with more exercise now that it is nice out and eating much better, it happened. I do not know the total pounds lost, but the dress sizes make it!
Have a great week!

I did a lot of adult things yesterday. I paid off BOTH of my credit cards ( 2400$ total) and canceled them! Horray for starting to salvage whatever is left of my credit!
Then I went out shopping at Anthropologie and bought a new dress and sweater. They make me happy.
Life has been great lately. Have been going on small dates with Elliot, and still finding plenty of time to hang out with friends.
Everything is going well at home too! Well, the neighbors downstairs are a bit obnoxious still, but otherwise the apartment is fabulous!
We give the cat regular dosages of cat nip. It is absolutely hysterical. Everyone should drug their cat. I have a video, I just need to figure out how to upload it!
This week I am in a show Thurs and Friday and its about feminism and I love it. The only sucky part is I am playing the "bad guy" which is hard. I need to be a CONVINCING character that is not 100% evil even though I hate everything she stands for. But, as usual, I am up for the challenge!
Ok, off to class now!
Have a wonderful week friends!

I think I just joined with the cool people. I have itunes on my laptop now.
In other exciting life news, I officially live with my boyfriend. I have to pay rent, and the electricity is in my name. Its fun getting to play adult! Car and health insurance are about to be in my name too...good by "fun funds" and hello responsibility!
Yesterday I started to discover the wonderful world of Essential oils and their power for making me happy and feeling better. This hippie thing is great! Plus I got to visit some of the ponies I have not seen in a while.
Now it's time to go have dinner with my grandparents and my awesome little cousin. Then the cousin and I (shes 20) are headed to the sex shop to celebrate MLK day! hahah. my family rules. actually we are going there because I need to find some fun condoms and perhaps spermicidal lube cause Elliot HATES condoms and I REFUSE to use the pill, and as we all know, babies are quite the expensive hobby. I do not feel like having one anytime soon, besides we have a cat!
thats it for now!

Merry Holidays to everyone!
Today I will be visiting Kiley at her work to drop off her little present I got her, and perhaps picking up what Deceptiviewfilm sent me (which was sent to Kiley's house).
Tonight is Christmas Eve with my little cousins and mom's side of the family, and there should be some chaos there with toys and excitement for tomorrows festivities.
Tomorrow is the big day, and my boyfriend and I will be traveling back and forth across the state to go from my family's party to his later in the evening.
Hope everyone stays safe, and enjoys the holiday cheer!
Here is a photo from my phone of my mural, but with an added piece of Xmas hilarity!

Well it is almost time for the crazy holiday season to be full of cheer (and yes by cheer I mean Booze) and here comes Mother Nature dropping us bored New Englanders a Nor'easter! A few inches to a few feet is coming this way, and Elliot and I are cozy and warm in our apartment with our new kitty! Elliot found the cat, Miko, at the ally behind our friend's apartment and after a few weeks when no one claimed him, he became ours. It is nice to have him around, as annoying as he can be at times. He is really sweet, loves to sit on you and get pet, and is quite food motivated. But, we have plenty of food for us, the cat, booze, and stuff to bake cookies with so we should be good for a few days.
Last night Elliot and I went down to his cousins' house to visit with his family and drink the night away. It was fun, we all got pretty silly and a few people were quite nicely hammered. We stayed overnight at his parents house and this morning Elliot and his brother and sister took pictures in ugly sweater for their folks for Christmas.
I am almost done with my Christmas shopping. I started earlier last week (during finals, with my school schedule I have little time after classes are out) but finished Friday during the day with my awesome little cousin. We teamed up and got our grandparents a gift basket that we made with the theme of "stay at home dates" which has:
* 1 pink breast cancer snuggie
* 1 blue snuggie
* 3 Movies
* pretzels and dipping sauces
* a really nice bottle of champagne.
I am doing a few homemade gifts this year, which I find to be the best. If I like them, and have a decent enough camera around, I may upload some pictures.
So finals are done, and I kicked butt in them! I just have a few more hours left to finish my mural! A second coat and few details added in, and then it is time for it to have an official opening with booze, snacks, and prints for sale!
Other than that, the next week is going to be full of work, and family times.
Now it is time for dinner with Elliot, and the football game is about to start (an excuse to get liquored up during the snow storm). Wish I was with my favorite pal, Kiley like we used to, rock out to shitty VH1 TV marathons, dance around, build forts, and get wasted and drunk dial the most inappropriate people.
haha.
<3 you all!
Happy Everything, where ever you are!

Hello my SG friends!
Well thanks to Kiley I am back up on the site! She renewed my membership before I could. My wife rules.
Halloween was great, went out with my boyfriend to a small local party, and guess who we were?!?!

Give up?
We were Dr. Grant and Ellie from Jurassic Park. I love dinosaurs...
SO I have been busy working with my ponies and training and riding every Sunday (luckily I have been blessed with great weather here on Sundays!)

he is my handsome boy!

In other news, I am almost done with this semester, just a week of classes then it's finals week!
Here is my mural (not painted, just the concept) that I will be painting all next week:

hmm...
I think that is all.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Tofurkey day! I ate a ton, drank a bit, then took a 2 hour nap. After the nap it was family game time- Apples to Apples anyone?!?! that game rules-then it was dessert.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend my friends!

Back from NYC and the Big Apple Comic Con where I had a blast!
Driving down and rooming with Kiley and Rizzo was a definite bonus!
The first day there I met some awesome girls like Archie and Tita, and got to meet miss July in person too!
Friday night I went out drinking...

and came back to the hotel puking.
Saturday I woke up still drunk, and wasn't hung over until waaaay into the afternoon.
But I dressed as Slave Leia...
and funny things happened (what WERE these things?!?!?)

and cool things happened, too! This is the favorite picture of the two of us, I think

Then after Kiley was all done video recording my ass and the funny things I say to fan boys, we left for a late lunch with my friend Kristen who is a dancer in NYC (she was a holiday Rockette last winter!!!).
And we saw this store...we were all in heaven, but it was closed

Next costume I wore was my brand new Jurassic Park Ranger! I am so proud of this, but it really seemed very few people dressed up outside of the NYC con regulars and the 501/Rebel Legion.

check out my sweet gore makeup...done by a Deinonychus, or according to the JP movies/books: a Velocaraptor

Saturday night was pretty uneventful. We made fun of Johnny Fairplay from Survivor a lot. He was a huge ugly tool who tried really hard to get in my Slave Leia pants. It didn't work. The girls and I did walk around time square a bit and laughed a lot and enjoyed people watching.
Sunday I put on the Leia for a little bit, but then just wandered around and hung out with my friends. Some I only get to see at Dragon*con so it was nice to hang with Spat, Anthony, and Drew from Wizard (who ran the con) and also Aaron Douglas from Battlestar Galactica. It's funny cause we are good friends and I have never once seen his show!
See, we even Eiffel Tower:

But we can be normal too, which is key to our strangeness

In other news, school has been really stressful.
I have Early Stages coming up (children's theater) November 7th, the paid acting gig in the Berkshires (the same weekend as SuperMegaFest so I do not know if I can pull this off), and then a mainstage show at my university the first week of December.
All this plus school, plus family, plus work, and sometimes trying to find time for the new boy and friends and sleep. Work doesn't seem to thrilled about my crazy schedule and lack of availability, so fuck em. Maybe they will fire me and I can collect unemployment. Would be nice and be less stressful.
Have a great week!
and here is one more picture of a handsome man from Sunday at the con:

Sorry it's kinda fuzzy,
have a great week SG land!
