Just a quick update. Ollie is almost 2 weeks old now and has not figured out that night is for sleeping. This has led to me becoming quite the basketcase. We're also trying to figure out how she can sleep because she current wakes up the second you set her down anywhere, she doesnt like being on flat surfaces. We'll figure things out eventually. Thankfully I have Subby to keep me calm when I'm at my wits end after hours of unrelenting screaming. He's able to stay calm when I break down.
Being a Mommy with a very angry baby is hard going BUT I wouldn't trade her in for the world. I mean, who could possible look at this face without just loving her no matter the struggle she gives.
Hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to at least get her laying down before I go back to work at the end of September. That's my current goal anywho

Say hello to my sweet Lil Blueberry Olivia
The love of my life was born on August 16th at 5:02am after a whopping 27 hours of labor.
Yeah, she's got some hardcore chubby cheeks. She came out weighing 9lbs 1oz and is 22 inches long. My baby don't play, she reaches to be the biggest and the best
Anywho, we just got home from the hospital yesterday afternoon. We've spent theses first few days of her life trying to figure out how to make her sleep without someone holding her. Finally last night around 3am I figured out she will pass out in the boppy propped up on our bed. If that's the only way she'll sleep so be it. I'm just happy I was able to get a few hours of broken sleep last night!
Well it's getting close to feeding time so I'm gonna run.

I was supposed to start maternity leave on Monday but if Ollie isn't here yet, I'm just gonna keep working. No point in wasting what little precious time I'll have with her. It really would be nice if she'd come this weekend.
In other news, I made some rocky road cookies and they're fabulous.

Today I turned 30, I'm 37 weeks pregnant and it's a Monday. It's truly just a terrible combination. This should be interesting
Now on a completely different note, the nursery is done excluding the toy box that Subby is refinishing and the rocking chair we're still hoping to find used. Subby did all the painting and manual labor himself. I stood around and told him exactly what needed to be done and where things needed to go and then organized

I downloaded my first book, Pride Prejudice and Zombies. I'm very excited to read it since Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer by the same author was very good. Then I'm pretty sure my lil sis is gonna get me another book to download for my bday next week.

Wow, it's been awhile since I last posted. Not very like me, but I've been kinda of drawn into my own life as I get further along in my pregnancy. Being 34 wks 5 days along also makes me very exhausted so I typically don't have the energy to bother typing anything longer than a facebook status. I am around though, spying on you through your journals.
What's been happening over the last three weeks? Knocked out all our baby showers, got the nursery set up, all the baby clothes & cloth diapers are washed and ready to go. Mostly just lots of working, prepping for the baby and being laid up in bed with back spasms by the end of every work day.
The pregnancy is still very hard on me physically and emotionally, but mostly physically. Thank God I have Sublyminull, I don't know what I would do without him taking care of me and getting everything done that I can't do on my own. It's weird to be so dependent on someone after spending your entire mature life being so very independent. It's really shown me that I have a man who truly loves me and will be with me no matter what. I am a very, very lucky woman.
Anywho, we're just waiting for Olivia to make her appearance now. August 16th can't get here soon enough. Until then I'll just keep finding more stuff that needs to be done before she gets here hehehe. I guess I'll leave you guys with some pics from our trip to Wisconsin and some baby shower pics
