OK, since the cat's out of the bag anyway, here's a look at the large piece--100cm (42") tall - Ink, graphite, acrylic on board-- I'm working on of hopeful, ValGal, photo'd by Amilie, and vice-versa. It'll need a couple more hours to complete. The canvas, which will be done from another set of VG's, will NOT be so...gothic-lolita-angellic. -"/'

So I made a new friend in the actual, "world of the physical" [in booming voice with echo]... not that there's anything wrong with that. After the May Pang affair (no, I didn't actually bang her), I was picking up my car, parked in front of BOJO's. After I get in, and a car passes, I spot this!

Immediately, I get out my camera, wishing I'd had my Canon with me, and I start shooting from every possible angle, this immaculate Auburn! These are usually seen in automotive museums, or that tool, Jay Leno's garage--not just, "out for a few at night" kind of ride. After a couple of minutes a casually clad, yet dapper, guy of about 60 comes out of the bar. I ask him, and of course, it's his car. He gladly fielded a few questions about it, and the conversation tacks to him introducing himself, and that he really had come out to thank me for the compliment paid by giving it so much obvious attention. We talked a little, and then I had to ask him, "If you're out with this Auburn tonight, what else do you have to drive?" He floored me with, "...Oh, a 1950 Cadillac, a Chord (oh fuck!)<==[that's me thinking], a 1962 XKE Jaguar, 2 other Auburns..." You know, he may have rattled of a few more, but I was still mentally processing the Jaguar, XKE model, wire wheels, knock off hubs,,, the sexiest design on four wheels. When we politely reiterated our introductions, to confirm we've gotten it straight, I then schtupp (yiddush euphemism for fuck, not as harsh as zug, though) him with my card squarely in his palm. As I get into my car, I ask, "I guess I'll be seeing you at the raceway, eh?"... and he comes right back at me with a big smile, and said, "I'm a member there, sure I'll see you." With that I drove home with the realization that my season pass' stock had just risen ten fold. Might I be in that sprawling Tudor clubhouse, with a highball (probably use rickey glasses, lol) in one hand, and maybe just a decent Dominican Maduro in the other? Who the fuck knows? I've done better! That would be a riot, tooling around town, with a member of the Auburn Owners Society... and with three, he might just be the Auburn Society. [Note to self; Buy skull rings and increase ear gauge...Oh! and a camel hair Jeff cap].

Seriously, I am passionate about that whole classic auto design genre, so taking commissions for automotive art=illustration, usually, won't be so hard to swallow. Of course, nothing will stop me from moving along with this series of "Women of Diversity".
I'm done.

Nice work.

God, thats a beautiful car.
Back in the day I used to house sit for an older guy who collected cars. He kept a 1939 Packard and a 1949 Chrysler town and country convertible at the house where I stayed. Part of my job was to keep them clean and drive them a short bit at least once a week. smile

I love seeing old classic cars too. My, my NeoPop, you certainly lead a groovy existence, making everyday or most days seem to count.

Good luck with the opening. I like you piece that you have on display here.

I think Ernies expression sums up how I'm feeling about cigars at this point.
Just quit the ciggies 3 years ago. I didn't need a new habit.
Which is what it's become.
