Well, my baby's home. She's miserable, nauseaus, banged up and bruised, slightly blind and more than slightly disgruntled, but she's home.
We went and picked her up last night at 9 o'clock, and she has been looking better and better since leaving the ER. She's a litle worse for wear, and she might wind up blind in that one eye, but I think she's learned not to sneak out through the garage anymore... and no matter what else happens, she is home safe with me now.
Right now I'm trying to coerce her into taking some pedialite a a scrambled egg, but all she wants to do is sleep.
I can't tell you all how glad I am that she's back! I was so worried she wouldn't be coming home.
Anyway, keep sending your thoughts and healing words her way, she needs all the help she can get right now!

My puppy escaped tonight (the door was apparently open a crack when the roomy let them in from the back yard
) and got hit by a car
I'm heart-sick I'm so worried about her. She's my kid...
Right now she's at the doggie ER, they've done done preliminary blood work, tests, and x-rays. They know she has some head trauma, they just aren't sure how much. She's apparently having problems seeing out of one eye, and she might go blind in that eye. They aren't sure if she has any swelling around her brain or not, but they're keeping an eye on her. Her reflexes and responses are "off" and she keeps randomly freaking out, which they think is associated with her head trauma.
When I was in the lobby waiting on the vet and heard her freak out, it was all I could do not to freak out myself, I'm having a hard enough time holding back the tears.
Please send all your love and well-wishing my way! I need all I can get
