As much as I was loving the shoe shop, and the colorfullness there, and the girls I worked with, and my boss, it wasn't on a contract, my boss was phoning me up on the day asking for me to go in, the pay was good, but it was only part time. I wasn't actively searching for a new job or anything, but I was finally invited back for an audition with Benefit Cosmetics, something I had actually applied for back in January, (which kept being postponed/canceled). I had even applied for this job back in Cardiff.... but at that time my confidence was pretty shitty and I couldn't cope with the way they did things, and at the audition I had then, a customer properly shouted at me and really put me off but since moving to London, I am definitely a LOT happier and more confident than I was, and low and behold, at the audition I had in Boots, Reading, I was offered the job

I have always loved this brand, since I was a kid, my friends in high school would come in with their Avon catalogues from their mums, and I'd be bringing in my mums Benefit cosmetics catalogue... Back in 2005 I went to San Francisco with my mum and step dad, and went into a botique of theirs in a Macys, it was an amazing experience, and we spent a LOT of money in there to say the least...

I had always found the cash to buy their new products, (even when I reeeeally shouldn't have) and then about 3 years ago, I found out that you didn't need any special qualifications in the industry to work for them....

The girls who work for Benefit are friendly, bubbly, confident people, and I have always admired them, and I know I haven't done any studying, or training for this job, but it really is my Dream Job and I'll be starting April 2nd

(just fyi, I didnt fail all 5 times, the first time I was invited I was ill the day, and it was my only day off in 17 days so didn't actually go, 2nd try I went, was doing well up til a certain point, when as I said above, a customer shouted at me, and I nearly had a panic attack, 3rd time in London ended up being canceled because some girls couldn't attend, 4th time I was asked to go to Oxford..... I assumed she simply meant Oxford street, not Oxford.... and the 5th time round.... in Reading, it happened, I went, I did it, I got it if that is not the definition of if first you don't succeed, try try again.... I don't know what is!!)

Those of you who were in chat when I got the phone call will already know. (the dancing and grinning from ear to ear may have gave it away) However, I am still extremely excited and happy and ZOMG about the fact that I FINALLY HAVE A JOB.

So... Said job will be sales assistant, in a lovely little botique type shop in Duke of York Square . Seling pretty shoes like these .

But yes, I will most likely be starting some time this week, or this weekend... depending on when they feel best to start me. (I shall be getting another call soonish) it will be on a sort of probationary trial type thing because "we want to employ you, but want to make sure you'll be happy with us" which is completely understandable, and I am completely fine with that makes perfect sense.
