I was a big fan of it when I was in school but now it's just an exuse to shill out $$$ for cards, flowers, and candy. Maybe I'm just being jaded or I haven't found "the one" yet. But I just can't get geeked up for this holiday anymore. But I do consider myself a hopeless romantic

I'm with you on Valentine's Day. In fact, I'm suspicious of any holiday that says you HAVE to buy gifts. Right. How about being a loving boyfriend/girlfriend all year round, and giving gifts at random times? It's more fun.
Then again, I'm single, so maybe I'm just bitter, I don't know. VDay kind of bums me out when I'm single.
