I think many of my friends knew already that I was doing recaps of the OHRG bouts now. I thought though it would be nice if all my friends could see my published work so here is the link "http://www.ohiorollergirls.com/downloads/GBoFRecap.html"
to the article. Editing was done by the leagues own Alli Catraz a member of The Take-outs! For anyone who hasn't gone before I hope this gets you interested. It really is one of the best things to do in Columbus, OH. Everyone involved in roller derby has been completely awesome. I suggest you all read about, visit their website or myspace, volunteered donate whatever you can to help the OHRG become the best it possibly can.

Sincerely,
Nathan aka Mr Takeout

So thursday I went to see 3, Chiodos, Dillinger Escape Plan, and Coheed and Cambria.... First off 3 was pretty fucking impressive for an opening act. They definately got the audience involved and pumped for what was to come. They had two drummers on stage at all times and did some really cool synchronized drumming.

Chiodos well that is another story... of course every guy wearing girls jeans and pink tight ass tshirt and white shoes was into them. There keyboard player kept doing some wierd gay (no offense, I love gay people) dance that made me want to throw a brick at him. The lead singer has one of those I am a happy screamer attitudes that makes you want to gouge out his eyes and skull fuck him...ok that is a little harsh but seriously. It was like a really bad mix of thursday and saves the day. The lead singer totally seemed like the kind of guy who would fuck another guy in the ass and not have the common courtesy to give him a reach around.

Now Dillinger Escape Plan....OMG!!! They were the most brutal insane fun experience I have ever had at a concert. I have seen Gwar, The Misfits, Ozzy, Black Sabbath, ICP, all sorts of great live acts but dillinger gives you the cake and lets you eat it too. The pit was 20 ft wide and in Promowest that is pretty freaking large. People were flying all over the place I took a couple good shots to the kidney. The lead singer Greg was hanging by the cables that power the huge suspended speakers. He destroyed a cymbal stand threw some big hudred pound light box thing across the stage. It was fucking nuts. The band was so tight I didn't hear them skip a beat. Their music if you don't know it is so complex that hitting every not for even an experienced musician would be hard. I seriously suggest that next time you see them come through anywhere near here to check them out.

Ok, Coheed fans I am happy to report that Coheed sounds great live. It seemed like I would have enjoyed it a lot had I not just seen Dillinger play. Dillinger was complete sensory overload. Coheed came out played a ton of great songs really well and I was complete desensitized to it. I felt like I was watching TV. Any other night I am sure I would have been impressed.... that's it for now..hopefully I will make it out to outlands later this month to see all the local folks.

the closed pod of an unreleased blossom
hides the truth of a delicate deception
inside the water that feeds life
turns neither hot nor cold
it becomes lukewarm
so that the blossom is forced to
spew it from the mouth as it opens

the flower entices the nectar searcher
with a wonderful array of petals
and bright pollen on its pistol
inside lies in wait a small drop
a drop of lukewarm poison that did not escape
from the back of the throat

the flower enticed another soul with its sweet aroma
and the petals of white and royal purple
from a far it was a magnificent site
beneath these petals lies a sinewy structure
woven from a bed of lies
each one forming a tangled spider web

caught by a web of deceit the second soul
sowed his seed next to her
he grew proud of his cherished flower
soon after the flower's roots took hold of his
they strangled the life out of him
and left only the stench of love

Ok so the first picture is a tattoo I already have smile I am looking to get the second picture done on my back. I was wondering though maybe some of you wonderful SGers may have an idea of a way to make it a litte more unique. Maybe you have a tattoo artist friend that would want to draw it a bit differently. Any ideas would be appresciated thanks!

I put up a bunch of pictures from the Ohio Roller Derby after party!!! It was such an awesome bout! My team the Takeouts destroyed the Band of Brawlers (who just didn't seem the same without their captain Meg O'death) but they still put up a good fight. My friend Polly Apocalypse and the Sprockettes had a tough time and took a loss to the black eyed bullies.

I would also like to say thank you to Surly Girl Tavern for putting up with all us crazy derby folk after the bout! You Rock!!!

Just a poem I wrote somewhat recently

Untitled

The tainted touch of my caress

Leaves us in the state of emptiness

Caught in a vortex of monotonous monogamy

Created in self antipathy

The sun has already became bitter

And the earth already became salty

Useless has become the beauty of the stars

Erosion is becoming the purpose of the sea

Why must my reflection look like me

What torments our inner sanctum of peace

Who did the father want us to be

Where is that identity going

The sting of my suffering

Leaves us in this place of examination

Searching and wandering this dying vessel

Clinging to the hope of finding truth

Ok so yesterday morning I end up going to the ER. I put my fist through a door as if that would make my anger go away. Just a wonderful momentary diversion.

An abscence of faith flows from your lips
Thy words poison the ocrtex
Lies come to life with each breath you sustain
Control is lost in the message

Laughter is not a medicine today
Anger is hostility towards the opposition
Inanimate objects give way to inertia
Pain subdues the rage
