Consider this scenario, and let me know how you would act if you were part of it.

Here's the step by step:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
A handful of underage sailors get their hands on alcohol somehow.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
They get shitfaced.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
One of them owns a handgun, and brings it to the table.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
The handgun is unloaded, and they pass it around the group. Headshots, suicides, 13 Tzameti, and Deer Hunter are emulated.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
The sailors drink some more.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Perhaps due to the collective inebriation, it is decided that the handgun (caliber unknown) should be loaded with hollow point bullets.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
One of the kids (possible owner of said handgun) holds the gun up to a shipmate's head and, joking, pretends to fire a round.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
An actual round is fired, killing the person the handgun was aimed at.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
This actually happened in the past week. The person who fired the handgun is being charged with involuntary manslaughter. I don't know what is happening to everyone else who was present during the shooting.

Define part of it- like, was I one of the underage kids drinking that just saw this happen? Or was I the kid who pulled the trigger? At least I'd know how I'd act if I was the one shot.

I will never, ever, ever find myself in this kind of situation. Ever. Point blank hollow point bullets? Are you fucking kidding me?

HA! You're spot on!

As for the blog, that's totally fucked up... "Guns dont kill people," my ass. I feel terrible for the family of that poor stupid drunk "victim." How do you explain that to his family.... Seriously, I couldn't fathom...

Well, if I were some how involved in that situation. I'd probably drink.
A lot.
Luckily odds are against me every being involved in such a situation. However, I shall still drink, just not as much.

How I would act if I were a part of it? Something similar could have easily happened to me. A shit ton of us were drinking. A handgun comes out. I immediately grabbed it, field stripped it, and put the barrel in my pocket. I did not return the barrel until the next day. I'm glad it was a semi auto. Though I suppose if it were a revolver, I could have gone hunting for a screwdriver and pulled the crane assembly off. No guns when people are drinking. This is non-negotiable for me.
