Part IV in my travel series. I actually went to incredibly beautiful places on this trip, but didn't take pictures mainly because I've been so many times I didn't think about it. After a trip to Oregon, I went to Lake Tahoe and Reno. I generally don't think of Reno as a beautiful place because I'm typically parked at a craps table the whole time. On this trip I got out a bit and went partway up Mt. Rose and into Carson City. Here are a couple photos of Bend, Oregon..taken on the Deschutes River. I was dying to get into the water. It was 90 degrees and you could rent an air matress and have them pick you up down river for like $15...bargain!

A friend told me last night that I should have some children...er...find a wife...then have children.
It made me think of this video for some reason.

Here is part three in my exciting series on points of interest near my business travels. Here are a few photos of Montezuma's Castle in central Arizona (between Phoenix and Flagstaff). I think the local historian attended public school in Los Angeles because the informative marker at the site explains how they don't know where the Sinagua tribe came from that built the castle, where they went, why they came here or why they left....or why they built the castle in the cliff.
However, they do know from other historians that the castle was not built for Aztec King Montezuma...nor did Montezuma ever travel this far north. I don't know how much historians get paid in Arizona, but it sounds like a pretty kick back job.
There it is...

The plague...yummmm

A picture from the shade...where it is only 110 degrees...refreshing.

I've been having an online garage sale (sort of) through Craigslist and have made over $600 in the past two days selling crap from my garage....cha ching. It was hard to let some things go, but if I haven't touched it in three years...I probably don't need it. I sold my skateboard (yeah...my skateboarding days are over), a bunch of hockey sticks, messenger bags and other crap. I have three boxes of clothes/shoes going to "Out of the Closet" too.
It is all very cleansing...and lucrative it turns out.

I mentioned awhile back that I am going to make an effort to stop and check things out during my business travels that are non-business related. My latest visit was about an hour south of Phoenix...I stopped in to see the Casa Grande National Landmark and Museum.
Ummm yeah...there it is...

A spider lives there...

Here is me driving away from that fiery, pit of hell....(115 degrees...WTF...Why do people live here?)

I suppose they can't all be gems.

Prom was a blast...I'll need to sleep for three days to recover...but it was fun. I'm glad I went. I met some new people and met some really great friends that were only electronic before that night. Good times.
I bought a new camera that is waterproof, drop proof, freeze proof and crush proof....well after Prom...Olympus can add vodka proof, scotch proof, fling proof, kick proof....although it oddly smells like maple syrup....Nefaria !!!!!
I'll post pics soon...

New Mexico here I come...turns out I need to go there for work. I've been wanting to go for some time, but it isn't someplace that is generally conducive to the type of work I do. It appears that is changing....I hope it doesn't suck.
I'll be going to Arizona next month too...to Flagstaff. I've been wanting to go to the giant meteor crater near there. There is a group of local crazies/or smarties that claim NASA filmed the moon landing in the bottom of the crater.

Just when I think work will slow down....it speeds back up again. Hopefully, I will get a break after today. I get so slammed that I work all night and go without sleep some nights...can't be healthy. I was so tired yesterday. When I was driving home from a meeting, I stopped at a stop sign and sat there waiting for it to turn green.
On a happier note I just reached enought travel points with my airline and hotel that I can travel internationally for free (or where I want to go anyway). So I will be finalizing plans to make another Central American adventure...although my hotel points don't really work where I'll be going.
I have done nothing to prepare for the upcoming SG Prom (other than buy tix)...still need to find a date, clothes, confirmed travel/hotel...but it is looking like I can actually attend. I need a break and am going to find a way to make it happen.
