There's an old saying...
"I can't tell you the secret to success, but I can tell you that the key to failure is trying to please everybody."
I'm one of those people who tries to please everybody, combine that with an inability to say "no", and you have a recipe for disaster.
When circumstances beyond a person's control forces them to make decisions that disappoint people, how those people handle disappointment, says a lot about their character and maturity. Some people handle disappointment with class, grace and understanding. Refusing to respond with claims of being "lied to" or cheated out of their hard earned money. (most all of us work hard for their money)
While others refuse to remember that it is the nature of things to change and no matter how much planning we may do there is always a possibility that things will not work out the way we would have wished.
It is easy to forget all of the things that a person has done for us when we are angry at that person.
On a lighter note...

I'll be gone on vacation for a week and away from computers and internet. My apologies for any delays in making or responding to comments.
Everyone have a fun and safe Memorial day!
Everyone have a fun and safe Memorial day!
Breast cancer has touched almost everyone's life (My Mother died from breast cancer on Christmas Day, 2001) and finding a cure in our lifetime will only come from doing something about it.
On Sunday, January 27th of this year, I gathered a few of the many friends and models I know and have worked with together to help me with a fund raising project to create images to sell as prints for donations to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation ( www.bcrfcure.org ) which dedicates a minimum of 85% of every dollar it receives to breast cancer research and awareness. I had each model autograph 6 sections of the ribbon that she posed with to be attached (as a personal commitment to the cause) to the first 6 of their prints sold.
These 8.5" x 11" prints can be purchased for $29 including tax and shipping through the website:
www.pinkribbonprints.org
Prints will be available only during February (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month) and March, 2008.
Thank you for making a difference.

Way overdue update:
Pictures from family vacation to Alaska! (Just a few)
Anchorage is an amazingly beautiful city with one of the best biking/walking/ running trail system of any city. This is how close we got to one of the over 1600 moose that live within city limits:

Went on a couple of day cruises to see the glaciers before they all melt away.

and even saw a humpback whale

Went up to Denali National Park, but because of the clouds, we didn't see Mt. McKinley until the morning we were leaving.

That's 20,000 feet of mountain from base to summit.
Saw some Puffins and other sea birds at the Alaska Sea Life center in Seward.

Everybody loves Puffins!
And we saw some Musk Ox at a Musk Ox ranch.

The last day in Alaska we hiked up the trail to the Harding Ice Fields. 2,500 ft vertical climb in 3 miles.

It was brutal and there was fresh bear poop all along the trail.
Fond memories of spending most of August with the family in Alaska!
Next update: Pictures from SG sets I shot this summer and Fall!
