So...I'm thinking about writing again. I'm thinking probably a short story instead of just poetry, or maybe a short story based on my poetry. I haven't decided yet. Anyways I feel like posting one here just for the hell of it. Leave feedback if you wish.

Moonless Night

The sky dark as the blackest seas
No stars swimming tonight
Standing atop the highest hill
Arms raised to the heavens
Voice ragged
As I continue to cry out to you
No moon to light my way
No stars to guide me
I am lost
I can't find myself
Where are you?
You are right there
Next to me
I try to touch you
But you are a million miles away
Like the nearest star
Only you can light my way
And make me find myself
