So what's new with me?? Well, I just started a new job recently...FINALLY! It's about time I start moving up in my field. My official job title is post-doctoral fellow for the Cardiothoracic Surgery unit at a hospital in the city studying lung cancer. My lab door should read, "Do not disturb Dr. Mitska! Mad scientist at work. Muuhahahahahaha!!" I'll be studying the biomarkers of lung cancer cells for early detection and determining the on-set of cancer in non-smokers vs. smokers. Another interesting case I'll be involved in is directly working with the 9-11 workers and first responders of the terrorist attacks on that horrible day. I was just at a conference yesterday about this and it's scary to see how their health has suffered and diminished. I hope I can help in some way. This job will definitely be a challenge, I can only hope it's gonna be a good journey. Ok, enough geeky stuff!
In other news, my poor cat recently had eye surgery due to a congenital condition called entropion. It's when the lower eyelid starts to roll inward and causes the eyelashes to touch and irritate the eye thus causing discharge, tearing, and corneal ulcers. If the condition goes untreated, vision can be impaired or lost. My poor Kitty!!! They shaved the fur around her eye, she has stitches under her eyelid, and she has to wear the "cone of shame" collar for 2 weeks! Just like in Disney's Pixar movie, Up.
New York has been looking like a snow globe. We got hit again with another snow storm and that makes it the snowiest January on record! I need to break out my snowboard!
I'm trying to rush spring by adding flowers to my apartment to bring some life to these dull, cold days.
I'm so happy to see my orchid finally bloom after several months of buds, but no flowers.
Anyone here on Zivity?? I've been flexing my modeling muscles and shot a new set just in time for Valentine's Day!! Check out the Love Peepshow!!
Vote 5 times and you'll get get something sexy in the mail! Now how can you pass up that incentive?!? Check it out for more details!!
Oh! And most important, don't forget to tune in next Saturday, February 5th at 6pm to see my new SG set hit member review:
You're not gonna want to miss it! It's a goodie, shot by the lovely Alissa back in August of 2010 for Hell City in AZ!!

The response from my last blog indicates that you all do want to see a new set from me! Well, that just makes me so happy and excited!! As promised, here is a sneak peak at the new set to hit MR on Feb 5th:
It was shot by the amazing Alissa back in August of 2010 when I took a trip out to Phoenix, AZ to join in the Hell City fun!! I had such a blast and I can't wait to go back this year!!
Remember this picture?? This is a view from my room in AZ. And oh boy, does it have a funny story that goes along with it!!!! I'll tell you about it soon!
Oh, and please give Soul Bare some mo' LOVE!!! I'm so proud of that set!!
And if that doesn't do the trick, then my good ol' fat bastard should do just fine!!
Personally, I'm more of a white wine person, but I do love me some red every now and again. The name of this particular wine cracks me up every time!
The new year has been going good so far. I'm very excited to say that I'll be starting a new job soon!! I'll be working in a cancer research lab in the city. Finally using my degree and making some decent money!! Dr. Mitska at your service!!
I have an important question for you: Do you wanna see a new set from me??
Hang with my buddy, Jesse Leach, from Times of Grace. He is also the former frontman from Killswitch Engage and The Empire Shall Fall. For the latest project, Times of Grace, he is preparing for the upcoming release of the new album, Hymn of a Broken Man, which is out Jan. 18th and gearing up for the upcoming tour. I'll be sure to see them at the NYC tour date, Feb. 22nd!! Get your tickets!!
Clock hits 12:00am...welcome 2011!
Happy New Year to you all! It's gonna be a great year!
So what did you do for NYE?? And how is your new year going so far??
May:
New set comes out called Confessions which was shot by Brooklyn (again). This particular set was inspired by the 2006 album entitled Confessions On a Dance Floor by Madonna. This disco-infused album keeps you wanting more and dancing more! Even if you don't like this type of music, you cannot deny the energy and style of this album! Seriously, watch this video of the single, Hung Up, and you'll understand the direction of the set.
June:
Took a trip out to Joshua Tree in California to shoot a set with Lorelei!! Had the BEST time ever out there!
Joshua Trees are really beautiful:
My hotel was on this street. Too funny, I had to take a picture!
Beautiful landscape:
Met interesting creatures along the way:
July:
Good 'ol NYC in red, white, and blue!
It was good to see these ladies again for Durb's pint-size painting exhibit!

Took a trip out to Phoenix, Arizona to join in the Hell City fun!! Oh, the debauchery!
I even signed some autographs at the SG booth:
A view from my hotel room window. That reminds me of a funny story which I'll tell you about very soon!!
September:
New set comes out called Lady Red which was shot by Brooklyn (again, I know)! Definitely wanted to go for a different style this time. I wore a 1890's vintage red dress with my pal, Sport.
Me and the SG ladies at the NY Comic Con:
October:
Getting ready for Halloween:
Me and Catwoman (I mean, Catman):

Get ready for Christmas:
WHOA! That was a long blog! You made it to the end!! *applause*
Time does fly by when you're having fun! This year went by so fast. Of course, we all go through ups and downs throughout a given year (I know I've had my share), but it's how we learn and grow from these experiences that will only make us stronger. A friend shared this quote with me recently:
"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they go right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart, so that better things can fall together."
-Marilyn Monroe
I'm proud of what I accomplished this year in terms of my modeling, but next year can only be bigger and better. I have a feeling...2011 will be "The Year of the Mitska!!" So tell me, what was your favorite set??
The weathermen say we're supposed to get a blizzard totaling 16 inches of snow here in NYC, but they always seem to exaggerate a bit. I don't care how much we get, I'm loving all this snow during this time of year!!
This calls for a hot bowl of soup, a cup of hot chocolate, a cookie or two, bunny slippers, blanket, candles & incense, and a movie!! Who's with me?!?!
So how was your Christmas?? Did Santa bring you everything your heart desired?? Were you naughty or nice, or a little bit of both?!?!?
I've been lovin' all the early Christmas presents in the mail recently!! Thank you so much for sending lovely gifts from my wish list!!! You know who you are!! The surprises put a smile on my face and made some days brighter!
To show my appreciation, here's a preview...
Who knew corset pants could be so comfy!?!
A mesh teddy with stockings!
Satin thong..score! I'm ready for Santa!
The science geek in me enjoy these kinds of educational dvds!
You never know when these fun, sexy things can show up in a future set!!
All this sexy lingerie is making feel a little like this...
One thing I've learned...express yourself, don't repress yourself!
Remember, if you'd like a Christmas card from yours truly, send me your info! I'd love to send some holiday cheer your way!!
Get on a subway and run to get tickets for Rammstein!!! First show in 10 years on US soil AND the show is in NYC. Yeah this is a no brainer, I couldn't pass up this opportunity.
One of my fav bands that was opening the show, Combichrist!! A new addition to the band is Wes Borland playing guitar. Remember him from Limp Bizkit? Unfortunately I do, but he does well here. They all played well together actually. My video quality isn't that good here, but check out one of my fav songs...FUCK THAT SHIT!!!
Then Rammstein took the stage. Here is the opening of their show. I started recording after the lights went down, so it takes about 2 mins for the show to start, so hang in there.
Let me tell you, the Germans know how to put on a fucking, insane show!!! The stage set-up was awesome! Listening to them makes me wanna learn German. (Note to self: get hooked up with Rosetta Stone.)
Of course, here is the song Du Hast:
Then the fuckers proceeded to tarr and feather us:
Wrong, but funny at the same time.
Sadly, the show had to end.
As I walked back from the show, I had to take a few snapshots of good 'ol NY during the holiday season.
Time Square:
Gingerbread houses:
And Macy's lights:
Mission accomplished!!
More missions from yours truly...stay tuned!!
Remember, send me your info if you'd like to receive a Christmas card from me! And if you should feel so inclined to grant me a surprise, here is my wish list. Was I naughty or nice this year??
The holiday season is finally here and I'm so excited!! I've already started decorating my apartment...
Poinsettias...check!
Mini-Christmas tree...check!
Wreath on door...check!
I've been a good Santa's little helper: trying to spread a little holiday cheer to those less fortunate whether that be to people or animals. I try to do the best I can. I even started writing out Christmas cards! If YOU would like to receive a Christmas card from me, please feel free to send me your info!! For those of you who already gave me your info, expect to receive your cards soon!!
I think I've been a good girl all year..wouldn't you agree?? If you should feel so inclined, take a look at my wishlist and play Santa! A girl can't have too many articles of sexy lingerie, now can she?? I hope Santa brings me a PINK gift this year!! Maybe you can convince him by giving Soul Bare and any other set more LOVE!! I'm loving all your feedback and comments!! I think I've worked really hard this year on creating and shooting diverse sets, so I am really proud of where I'm at right now.
