Somehow, a nasty little virus managed to slip past my computer's defenses, and has spent the past few days wreaking all sorts of havoc on my shit. After numerous attempts to get rid of it, I finally said "Fuck it" (amongst a sea of other curse words) and decided to wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows.

I copied over all of my important stuff (pics, mp3s, etc) to my external hard drive, formatted, and started the reinstall process. I switched antivirus programs (because Trend Micro can get fucked), got this beast back up and running again, and decided to scan everything on the external drive to make sure none of the infected files had migrated over. While this was going on, I stretched out on the bed, and the next thing I know is that I'm waking up at about 6:15am, having slept all night in my clothes (and my glasses).

So, back to the PC of Doom. I had forgotten about the last time, when reinstalling disabled my sound card and it took me a week to find the correct drivers to make it run again. And since I forgot, that means I didn't copy over the current driver files, so once again I have no sound on my PC. This is annoying beyond belief, but I have nether the energy nor the patience to correct it right now.

I need to finish my laundry. And I'd like to sack out on the couch for a few hours and get some gaming done. But above all, I'm hungry. I need a bowl of Honey Bunches of Whatever the Fuck They're Called. With almonds.
