no indeed, i did not die. i just moved... to the south. things move a little slower here see.

it's been a strange interesting experience... take one dyed in the wool northwesterner and transplant her to i don't know, say... durham, nc + relationship that had been long distance for a year, with boy who had never lived with a girl + the purchase of one lovely little home in a nice area + 1boston terrier pup named murphy (= 2 bostons/ stella + murphy = 2) + 1 head/shoulder/back injury + turning 35 + impending marriage = 1 busy motherfucker. so see i haven't been neglecting you guys at all. it's just well you know, complicated and big as all things in my life are.

i think i just had the most girly afternoon of my life...

i bought make-up at sephora, got a mani/pedi, bought perfume and looked at shoes. anyone who knows me knows this is waaay out of character for me.

i also have a kidney infection which blows goat balls. maybe that's the explination for this odd behavior???

alright i'll admit it. once again i have been lame and not posted in a long, long time. i seriously didn't think i had anything interesting to say till the boy said "have you ever thought people may be interested in what's going on in your life, even the mundane shit?" so here it is in all its glory...

the beach: was awesome!!! just the boy, the dog, plenty of good food and booze, a hot tub (in our room ) and the ocean. i really wanted to go to the aquarium and on the ghost tour but, once we got there we realized just relaxing, being together and the ocean was more than enough.

the job: boring and stressful but aren't most jobs?

the south: is different. i have never lived anywhere off the west coast, so it's a new experience. the people are really nice, but i miss the puget sound, the lakes, nw trees, the mountains and my friends and family. we did manage to go to a pig roast last weekend however which was pretty fucking southern and fun.

the boy: things are going well. we put an offer in on our house which is exciting. so sorry homies, we aren't moving back anytime soon. it doesn't mean i don't love you guys though!

birthdays: i turned 34 last month. big props to acidevangelist and smuffy for the b-day wishes!!! on a sad note a couple days ago was also my dad's b-day. the 1st without the old man.

fun/lighter note stuff: VACATION!!! the boy and i are planning a trip back to the pnw around the 4th of july for his brother's wedding. our time will be split up between seattle and his folks place, so hopefully i'll get to see some of you then!

anyway that's about all i got. what's been up with y'all???

i'm an all or nothing lass so this shouldn't be a giant shocker to me or anthing, but now that i have a stable job at the place i wanted to work another better place at said institution wants me to interview. being the original job i wanted badly i figured i'd interview, so we'll see what happens i guess.

in other news the boy, the dog and i will be heading to the beach next weekend and i'm super psyched!!!! being the daughter of a sailor and around salt water my entire life i miss it dearly.

i've been lame and haven't posted in a bit. i'd like to say i've been doing interesting things, but unless you consider hanging out with your dog, boyfriend and going out to eat with your new bff interesting you'd seriously be bored. now i at least have something semi-interesting to say... i got a job foks! it doesn't pay as well as i'd like, but it's something i believe in and it makes the world a better place. how's them apples?

i also cut 6 inches off the back of my hair. don't freakout strongmad!!! it's still sexified. remember i said back. the front is still 2 inches longer than my chin.

in other news i learned to knit. so far i've knitted a sweet scarf and started on a baby blanket for my bff. so what's been up with ya'll?
